شباهت 80 درصدي ژن*هاي انسان و گاو

يك تيم بين*المللي از دانشمند*ان موفق شدند توالي ژنوم گاوها را تكميل كنند.

به گزارش ايسنا، اين محققان مرحله رمزگشايي ژنوم (نقشه ژنتيكي) گاو را با موفقيت به انجام رساندند و اظهار داشته*اند كه اين موفقيت گامي مهم در جهت تهيه فرآورده*هاي مرغوبتر شير و گوشت از اين حيوان اهلي است.

بر اساس اين گزارش كه در مجله معروف ساينس به چاپ رسيده ، 300 دانشمند* از 25 كشور مختلف طي يك دوره شش ساله براي تهيه اين ژنوم تلاش كرده*اند.

نقشه ژنتيكي گاو اهلي شامل حدود 22 هزار ژن جداگانه است كه 80 درصد از آنها با ژنهاي انسان مشابه هستند.

اين محققان همچنين دريافته*اند كه روش سازمان يابي كروموزوم*ها در انسانها به الگوي يافت شده در گاوها بسيار شبيه*تر از موشها است، در حالي كه موشها جانوراني هستند كه در آزمايشگاهها براي مطالعه روي بيماريهاي انساني بسيار زياد مورد استفاده قرار مي*گيرد.

به گزارش ايسنا، «پروژه رمزگشايي ژنوم بووين» روي گاوهاي نژاد «هيرفورد» انجام شده است.

اين نژاد از انگليس منشا مي*گيرد، اما امروزه در تمام نقاط جهان يافت مي*شود.

رنگ اين گاوها معمولا قهوه*يي فندقي است و در ابتدا به عنوان فرآوردهاي گوشتي مورد استفاده داشته*اند و اندازه* جثه آنها نيز متوسط است.

به گفته مسوولان آمريكايي، درك و كشف ژنوم دام و احشام و تهيه نقشه ژنتيكي آنها به محققان امكان خواهد داد كه اساس ژنتيكي بيماريها در دام*هاي اهلي را پيدا كرده و بتوانند فرآورده*هاي شيري و گوشتي سالمتري از آنها تهيه كنند و علاوه بر آن نيز از وابستگي به آنتي بيوتيك*ها كاسته مي*شود.

اين پروژه تحقيقاتي 35 ميليون دلاري به سرپرستي محققان كالج پزشكي بايلدرو مركز خدمات تحقيقات كشاورزي آمريكا انجام گرفته است.
