مقاوم شدن پشه در برابر مالاريا با دستور ژنتيكي


دانشمندان موفق شده*اند با دستکاري ژنتيک، پشه را در مقابل انگل مالاريا مقاوم کنند. پژوهشگران دانشگاه آريزونا توانسته*اند ژني توليد کنند که سبب مي*شود انگل پشه نتواند در روده و شکم پشه رشد کند. تهيه*کنندگان اين گزارش مي*گويند هدف نهايي، وارد کردن پشه*هاي مقاوم در برابر انگل مالاريا به محيط زيست است. در جريان اين پروژه، دانشمندان ژن يا مولکولي را که سبب مي*شود سلول*هاي پشه با يکديگر ارتباط برقرار کنند تغيير مي*دهند. براي رشد انگل مالاريا در داخل بدن پشه، وجود اين مولکول ضروري است. اين دستکاري ژنتيک تمام روند رشد انگل مالاريا را مختل مي*کند و همچنين از طول عمر پشه مي*کاهد.
