یک مقام رسمی ناظر غذایی در انگلیس هشدار داد: کسانی که قبل از طبخ،* تمام قسمت*های بدن مرغ را کامل می*شویند بیشتر خود و اعضای خانواده را در معرض مسمومیت غذایی قرار می*دهند.
*تحقیقات نشان می*دهد که تقریبا سه چهارم از مصرف کنندگانی که مرغ کامل خریداری می*کنند تمام قسمت*های آن را آب کشی می*کنند و با این کار باعث پخش شدن باکتری*های مختلف در سطوح آشپزخانه می*شوند.
بر اساس آخرین آمار آژانس استانداردهای غذایی در انگلیس، 65 درصد از مرغ*های خامی که در فروشگاه*های مواد غذایی این کشور عرضه می*شوند آلوده به میکروب «کامپیلوباکتر» هستند که شایعترین عامل شناخته شده مسمومیت غذایی در انگلیس بوده و شایعترین علائم آن شامل اسهال و انقباضات معده*ای هستند.
به گزارش روزنامه تلگراف چاپ انگلیس، این آژانس در حال حاضر به دنبال راهی برای کاهش میزان این آلودگی در تمام فروشگاه*های زنجیره*ای غذایی است.
سخنگوی این ناظر تغذیه*ای تصریح کرد: شستشوی مرغ*های خام یک اشتباه معمول آشپزی است و ضروری به انجام آن نیست. آب شیر میکروبهایی را که سبب مسمومیت غذایی می*شوند را از بین نمی*برد اما این میکروب*ها در فرآیند پختن کشته می*شوند. بنابراین بهترین روش، جدا کردن قسمت*های سالم و قابل مصرف گوشت مرغ و پختن آنها است.
