در اثر فشارهای مکانیکی و حرکات ایجاد شده به تدریج دیسک*های گردن دچار تغییراتی شده که از حالت نرمال خود خارج و در نهایت سبب بیرون زدگی دیسک می*شود.
دکتر مرتضی اسفندیاری در گفت وگو با خبرنگار بهداشت و درمان خبرگزاری دانشجویان ایران (ایسنا) واحد علوم پزشکی ایران، گفت: یک دسته از علائم ناشی از فشار بر روی ریشه*های عصبی و دسته دوم فشار بر روی نخاع است. علائم فشار بر روی ریشه*های عصبی گردن، قابلیت انتشار داشته و از گردن و شانه به سمت اندام*های فوقانی منتشر می*شود.
دکتر اسفندیاری یادآور شد: بیمار غیر از درد، احساس بی*حسی و یا خواب رفتگی در دستهای خود دارد. برخی بیماران دچار احساس کاهش قدرت دست*ها می*شوند. از سوی دیگر، برخی بیماران در اولین بار متوجه اختلال در حرکات ظریف دست*ها هنگام نوشتن می*شوند. این آسیبی که با فشار روی نخاع بروز می*کند، جدی بوده و این بیماران با کاهش قدرت اندام فوقانی به پزشک مراجعه می*کنند.
همچنین ممکن است به تدریج اختلال در راه رفتن و حرکات پاها ایجاد شود.
وی کاربران کامپیوتر، حسابداران، خیاطان و آرایشگران و افرادی که امور دفتری دارند را از افراد مستعد به دیسک*های گردن دانست و گفت: از آنجا که دیسک*های گردن در این افراد شایع*تر است، لذا باید ورزش*های گردن به ویژه ورزش*های ایزومتریک را به طور مرتب و روزانه انجام دهند تا عضلات گردن و شانه آنها تقویت شده و از برند دیسک گردن جلوگیری شود.
این ارتوپد در پایان خطاب به افراد شاغل که معمولا در اکثر مواقع، سرشان در یک وضعیت قرار دارد، توصیه کرد: این افراد در مراحل اولیه قبل از ایجاد علائم و درد در ناحیه گردن و سوزش ناحیه بین دو کتف باید ورزش کنند.
