کشف یک گونه جدید میمون (کالیسبوس کاکتنسیس)

بهنوش خرم روز: ما انسانها همچنان در حال کشف سیاره خاکی خودمان و موجودات روی آن هستیم و هر از گاهی، که خیلی هم فواصل طولانی ندارند، گونه های کاملا جدیدی از جانوران را کشف می کنیم. این بار نوبت یک گونه جدید از میمونهای موسوم به میمونهای تیتی است که گفته میشود در جنگلهای آمازون زندگی میکنند. این گونه جدید که کالیسبوس کاکتنسیس نامیده شده، بیستمین گونه از میمونهای تیتی است که تا به حال کشف شده اند.

به گفته محققین، به نظر میرسد موجودات ناشناخته زیادی هنوز روی زمین وجود دارند و متاسفانه هر بار که خبر کشف گونه ای تازه منتشر میشود، به دنبال آن محققین آن گونه را در خطر انقراض اعلام می کنند، یعنی ممکن است بسیاری از گونه های جانوری قبل از این که ما حتی بشناسیمشان نابود شوند. از آنجایی که تخمین زده شده از این گونه جدید تنها 250 عدد مانده باشد، جانورشناسان این میمونها را در خطر انقراض بحرانی طبقه بندی کرده اند.
بر اساس گزارشی که وایرد منتشر کرده، میمونهای تیتی جدید در جنگلهای آمازون زندگی میکنند. به گفته محققین، یکی از ویژگیهای بارز این میمونها تک همسری بودن آنها است. ویژگی نادری که در بین میمونها نایاب است و به غیر از این گونه تازه کشف شده، فقط میمونهای درازدست تک همسر هستند. محققین میگویند حتی انسان را هم نمیتوان به این شکل به عنوان تک همسر طبقه بندی کرد!
