لودگی صوتی و گوش دادن به موسیقی با صدای بلند تنها عوامل آسیب دیدگی حس شنوایی نمی باشند بلکه مطالعات جدید نشان می دهند مصرف بیش از اندازه مسکن ها کاهش قدرت شنوایی در مردان را به همراه دارد.
به گزارش ایسنا، محققان دریافتند مردانی که در هفته بیش از دو قرص استامینوفن مصرف می کنند، دو برابر بیش از مردانی که از این مسکن ها استفاده نمی کنند، در خطر کاهش قدرت شنوایی قرار دارند.
استامینوفن (Acetaminophen) ترکیبی فعال در داروی Tylenol و سایر مسکن ها می باشد همچنین مردانی که در طی هفته بیش از دو بار قرص Ibuprofen ترکیب اصلی موجود در داروی (Advil) را مصرف می کنند تا حدود ۶۶ درصد بیش از دیگران در معرض خطر کاهش قدرت شنوایی قرار دارند.
همچنین مصرف قرص آسپرین ۳۳ درصد خطر تضعیف قدرت شنوایی را افزایش می دهد. تمام این یافته ها در خصوص مردانی با حداکثر سن ۵۰ سال به دست آمده است.
سئوالی که در اینجا مطرح است این است که آیا همه مردان میانسال می بایست از مصرف مسکن ها چشم پوشی کنند؟
محققان پاسخ می دهند؛ ترک مصرف مسکن ها ضروری نمی باشد زیرا خطر کاهش شنوایی تحت تاثیر داروهای مسکن حدود یک درصد می باشد ولی اگر سابقه مصرف قرص های مسکن به بیش از ۱۰ سال برسد، ۱۰ درصد مردان دچار کاهش قدرت شنوایی می شود.
این یافته ها از بررسی سوابق ۲۷ هزار مرد در طی ۲۴ سال به دست آمده است، با جمع آوری اطلاعاتی همچون سن، دردهای مزمن، مصرف داروهای مسکن و سنجش قدرت شنوایی طی مدت بررسی، محققان سه هزار و ۴۸۸ نفر را مبتلا به اختلال کاهش قدرت شنوایی تشخیص دادند.
خطر ابتلا به اختلال کاهش قدرت شنوایی در مردانی که طی هفته بیش از دو بار قرص آسپرین مصرف می کردند، ۱۲ درصد بیشتر از مردانی بود که یک قرص در هفته مصرف می کردند.
مطالعات سابق نشان می داد؛ مصرف قرص های مسکن از طبقه NSAIDs باعث عفونت در گوش حیوانات می*شود و گزارش هایی از کاهش قدرت شنوایی انسان تحت تاثیر مصرف مسکن های NSAIDs در دست است.
کاهش قدرت شنوایی رایج ترین اختلال حواس پنج گانه می باشد و مصرف آسپرین، ایبوپروفن و استامینوفن یکی از دلایل ابتلا به اختلال تلقی می شود.
