پسیتاکوزیس (تب طوطی)

در جهان بیماری های گوناگونی وجود دارند که برخی از آنها جزء بیماریهای مشترک انسان و دام می باشند، آشنا شدن و شناخت این بیماریها به معنای کشتن حیوانات آلوده نیست بلکه شیوهای به کنترل در آوردن و برخورد صحیح با حیوانات آلوده است. بیماری پسیتاکوزیس نیز در شمار بیماریهای مشترک قرار می گیرد، پسیتاکوزیس بیماری است که خانواده طوطی سانان ( کاسکو، طوطی سبز، مرع عشق و ... ) را درگیر می کند در صورتی که این بیماری کبوتر را مبتلا کند به آن اورنیتوز گویند.
همانطور که گفته شد بیماری در طوطی سانان دیده می شود، کبوتر نیز از دیگر حیوانات مستعد ابتلا به بیماری است، بیماری از طریق این دو پرنده می تواند به دیگر پرندگان انتقال پیدا کند انسان نیز در صورت تماس با عامل پسیتاکوزیس می تواند به این بیماری مبتلا شود. بیماری پسیتاکوزیس از طریق تماس با مدفوع آلوده پرندگان مبتلا، هوا و حشرات قابل انتقال به انسان است،
میكروب*ها از طریق* استنشاق* هوای* حاوی* این* میكروب* یا آسیب* پوستی* ناشی* از نوك* زدن* یا گاز گرفتن* پرنده* مبتلا به* انسان* منتقل* می*شود. دوره* نهفتگی* بیماری* پس* از تماس* با میكروب* 3-1 هفته* است*.
خوشبختانه بیماری از طریق تخم، قابل انتقال به انسان نیست. بیماری پسیتاکوزیس در حال حاضر بیشتر بومی مناطقی همچون: جنوب شرقی آسیا بخشهای از جنگلهای افریقا و امریکا است، این مناطق در واقع زیستگاه طبیعی طوطیان می باشد.
نشانه های بیماری در پرنده و انسان

پرنده غذا نمی خورد، پرها در اثر اسهال سبز رنگ است، ترشحات مخاطی در بینی و چشم پرنده دیده می شود، با افزایش ترشحات، چشم بسته شده و در نهایت پرنده بینایی خود را از دست می دهد.پسیتاکوزیس دستگاه تنفسی طوطیان را کاملا در گیر می کند. زمانی که انسان به عامل بیماری پسیتاکوزیس آلوده می شود علایمی نشان نمی دهد از زمان ابتلا تا بروز علایم بیماری پسیتاکوزیس در انسان حداقل دو هفته زمان لازم است علایم اولیه شامل لرز، ضعف و سردرد است فرد بیمار تک سرفه دارد.
در صورت حاد شدن بیماری پسیتاکوزیس در انسان علایم استفراغ، اسهال یا یبوست، افسردگی، بزرگ شدن کبد دیده می شود.
تشخیص بیماری تنها توسط دامپزشک در مورد پرندگان و پزشک در مورد انسان انجام می شود.
