تولد بوفالو شبیه‎سازی‎شده

بوفالو شبیه‎سازی شده با نام "گاریما – 2" در هندوستان متولد شد.<?xml:namespace prefix = o /><o:p></o:p>
دکتر اسریواستاوا رئیس مؤسسه تحقیقات گاوهای شیری هندوستان با اعلام این خبر افزود : این گوساله 22 آگوست سالجاری متولد شده و از همتای قبلی خود متفاوت است.<o:p></o:p>
وی درباره تفاوت این گوساله با گوساله شبیه‏سازی پیشین که در هندوستان متولد شده بود گفت : این بار برخلاف گوساله قبلی که از سلولهای سوماتیک استفاده شده بود در شبیه‎سازی از سلولهای بنیادی جنینی جداشده از بلاستوسیست 8 روزه استفاده شده است.

دکتر اسریواستاوا افزود : بزرگترین جمعیت بوفالوهای دنیا را در هندوستان می‏توان دید و این جمعیت حدود 55 درصد شیر تولیدی در این کشور را تأمین می‎کنند، با این حال با تکنیک شبیه‏سازی امید است اصلاح و بهبود نژاد آنان در زمان کوتاهی صورت پذیرد.<o:p></o:p>
این محقق وزن گوساله شبیه‎سازی شده را 32 کیلوگرم اعلام و حال عمومی آنرا مساعد و طبیعی توصیف نموده است.<o:p></o:p>
وی در ادامه گفت : محققان این پروژه معتقدند سلولهای بنیادی جنینی از توانمندی بالاتری نسبت به سلولهای سوماتیک در شبیه‏سازی برخوردارند.<o:p></o:p>
گفتنی است پیش از این در ششم فوریه 2009 هندوستان تولد بوفالو شبیه‎سازی شده دیگری را تجربه کرده بود.<o:p></o:p>
در تکنیک شبیه‏سازی مورد استفاده در هندوستان ابتدا اووسیت‎های نابالغ از تخمدان جدا و در محیط آزمایشگاهی بالغ می‎شوند. سپس توسط یک آنزیم لایه خارجی اووسیت‎ها با نام "زونا پلوسیدا" هضم می‎شود. بعد توسط مواد شیمیایی خاصی ماده ژنتیکی آنها به یک طرف اووسیت رانده می‏شود تا از آن ناحیه با شکاف این ماده در آزمایشگاه خارج گردد و در اینجا از یک سلول بنیادی جنینی استفاده شود. جنین‎های حاصله در آزمایشگاه در عرض هفت روز کشت داده شده و نمو می‎یابند تا به بلاستوسیست تبدیل شوند و پس از آن بلاستوسیست‎ها به رحم بوفالوی گیرنده منتقل گردد.
