موارد مصرف:

ماستيجت فورت براي استفاده در گاوهاي شيري ساخته شده و ترکيب آنتي بيوتيکهاي استفاده شد در آن بر طيف وسيعي از باکتري هاي مولد ورم پستان موثر است. پردنيزولون موجود در آن يک کورتيکوستروئيد قوي است که با به حداقل رساندن واکنش التهابي شديد پستان، در درمان شکل باليني نقش بسزائي دارد، اين امر بويژه با دخالت باکتريهاي آزاد کننده توکسين، وقوع حالت التهابي پستان را امري اجتناب ناپذير خواهد ساخت. کنترل موثر ورم پستان کار ساده اي نبوده و مستلزم توجه به عوامل بسياري است که پنج عامل مهم عبارتند از:

ـ بازديد و نگهداري ماشين هاي شيردوشي. ماشين هاي ناکارآمد با آسيب رساندن به سرپستانک، زمينه ساز شيوع ورم پستان خواهند بود.

ـ درمان سريع موارد باليني. زيرا دامهاي آلوده باعث گسترش باکتريها خواهند بود.

ـ بهداشت خوب و شستشوي سر پستانک (Teat-dipping)، باعث محدوديت گسترش عفونت و کاهش فشار باکتريها خواهد بود.

ـ درمان دوره خشکي: ضمن درمان در دوره خشکي، عفونتهاي تحت باليني آشکار شده و شروع خوبي براي دوره شيرواري بعدي خواهد بود.

ـ درمان دوره خشکي: ضمن درمان در دوره خشکي، عفونت هاي تحت باليني آشکار شده و شروع خوبي براي دوره شيرواري بعدي خواهد بود.

ـ حذف گاوهايي که ورم پستان هاي مکرر دارند. اين گاوها خطر عمده اي براي افراد گله به شمار مي روند.

مقدار و روش مصرف:

لازم است محتويات يک سرنگ در کارتيه آلوده بطور کامل تخليه شود. تزريق دارو بايد بلافاصله پس از تخليه کامل پستان، تميز و ضد عفوني کردن سر پستانک ها انجام گيرد. در صورت نيز مي توان 24 ساعت بعد درمان را تکرار کرد.

زمان پرهيز از مصرف:

شير دام در طول درمان و 72 ساعت بعد از آخرين بار مصرف (6بار شيردوشي) نبايد به مصرف انسان برسد. همچنين شير کارتيه هاي سالم نيز در مدت درمان کارتيه هاي آلوده و يا يک بار دوشيدن پس از آخرين دوز درماني، نبايد به مصرف انسان برسد.
