مکانیسم اثر:

مصرف همزمان بنزیل پنی سیلین و آمینوگلیکوزیدها (مانند کانامایسین) بر علیه بسیاری از باکتریهای گرم مثبت و برخی از اجرام گرم منفی و حتی باکتریهای مولد پنی سیلیناز (مانند استافیلوکوکوس آرئوس) اثر سینرژیسم دارد. در این ترکیب بنزیل پنی سیلیناز با دخالت در آخرین مرحله سنتز پپتیدوگلیکان دیواره باکتری مانع ساخته شدن دیواره سلولی شده و باعث نفوذ کانامایسین به داخل باکتری و ایجاد اختلال در ساخت پروتئینها در ارگانیسمهای حساس شده و بدین ترتیب اثر باکتری کشی خود را ظاهر مي*کند.

فارماکوکینتیک:

پروکائین بنزیل پنی سیلین از پنی سیلین*های بلند اثر بوده، پس از تزریق به داخل پستان طی چند ساعت اولیه جذب مقداری از آن صورت می*گیرد. زمانی که پنی سیلین*ها به داخل کارتیه*های آلوده تزریق شوند غلظت*های سرمی بیشتری ایجاد کرده، توسط سرم موجود در بین کارتیه*ها منتقل مي*شوند. دفع پنی سیلین*ها از طریق ادرار صورت گرفته و مقادیر بسیار کمی از آنها از صفرا دفع می*شوند.

پنی سیلین از طریق شیر نیز دفع می*شود. کانامایسین از گروه آمینوگلیکوزیدها بوده و دارای نفوذپذیری کمی با مایعات داخل سلولی می*باشد که مربوط به حلالیت کم آنها در چربی*ها بوده و به همین دلیل غلظت کمی در شیر و سرم ایجاد می*کند. دارای نیمه عمر کوتاه (2ـ1 ساعت) بوده، دفع آن عمدتا از طریق کلیه*ها و از ادرار صورت می*گیرد.

موارد مصرف:

برای درمان ورم پستان تحت بالینی در گاوهای خشک که توسط باکتریهای استافیلوکوکی و اشریشیاکلی ایجاد می*شود و پیشگیری از عفونت کورینه باکتریوم پیوژنز مورد استفاده قرار می*گیرد.

مقدار و روش مصرف:

برای درمان کارتیه مبتلا، شیر آن باید به طور کامل تخلیه شود. با استفاده از یک پارچه تمیز که به ماده ضدعفونی کننده آغشته است نوک سر پستانک و مجاری آنرا تمیز نموده سپس یک سرنگ دارو را به طور کامل در کارتیه تزریق نموده و با ماساژ دادن کارتیه به طرف بالا، دارو به طرف غده پستان هدایت شود.

زمان پرهیز از مصرف:

گوشت: یک روز پس از دومین شیردوشی.

شیر: 6 هفته.
