شمپانزه*هاي كامرون منبع بيماري ايدز

گروهي از پژوهشگران آمريكايي، انگليسي و فرانسوي موفق به كشف منبع طبيعي ويروس "اچ.آي.وي" عامل بيماري ايدز در جهان شدند.

رسانه*هاي انگليس روز جمعه گزارش دادند: محققان بهداشتي پس از ‪۱۰‬سال بررسي موفق شدند منبع بيماري ايدز را در شمپانزه*هاي ساكن جنگلهاي كشور كامرون در آفريقا پيدا كنند.

بر اساس اين گزارشها، پژوهشگران دانشگاههاي "ناتينگهام"، "آلاباما" و "مون پوليه" دريافتند شمپانزه*هاي كامرون به نوعي ويروس كمبود سيستم دفاعي در ميمون*ها به*نام"اس.آي.وي" مبتلا هستند كه*شباهت زيادي به*ويروس "اچ.آي.وي" دارد.

به اعتقاد اين محققان، جنگلهاي جنوب شرق كامرون منبع طبيعي ويروس اس.آي.وي است كه پيش از سالهاي ‪۱۹۳۰‬از طريق شمپانزه*ها به انسان منتقل شد و سپس با انجام برخي تغييرات در بدن انسان*ها به ويروس اچ.آي.وي تبديل شده است.

احتمالا اولين بار شكارچيان با كشتن شمپانزه*ها و كندن پوست*آنها به اين ويروس مبتلا شده*اند و با مسافرت به مناطق مختلف اين ويروس را در جهان پخش كرده*اند.

پروفسور "پال شارپ" از اساتيد ژنتيك دانشگاه ناتينگهام روز جمعه گفت:
ويروس بدن شمپانزه*ها به*صورت باورنكردني شبيه ويروس اچ.آي.وي بوده*و احتمال يافتن ويروس ديگري كه بتواند از چنين شباهتي به اچ.آي.وي برخوردار باشد بسيار اندك است.

وي افزود: شمپانزه و انسان از دستگاه ژنتيكي بسيار مشابهي برخوردار هستند ولي جالب اين است كه ويروس اس.آي.وي كه در شمپانزه*ها به دليل وجود پادزهر در بدن آنها تقريبا بي*خطر است مي*تواند، پس از ورود به بدن انسان به ويروس خطرناكي تبديل شود.

آمار منتشره حاكي است، از ‪۴۰‬ميليون نفر مبتلا به ييماري ايدز، دو سوم ساكن قاره آفريقا هستند.
