بدبینی و خوش بینی رفتار سگ را تغییر می دهد

تحقیقات جدید دانشمندان بریتانیایی نشان می دهد که خوش بینی و بدبینی در رفتار سگ ها نیز مانند انسان تأثیر می گذارد. سگ بدبین به هنگام تنهایی هراسان است، اما سگ خوش بین آرام است و رفتاری مخرب ندارد. آیا سگ ها را هم می توان به دو دسته ی خوش بین و بدبین تقسیم کرد؟ و آیا خوش بینی و بدبینی بر روی انطباق آنها با محیط و تحمل یا عدم تحمل ناملایمات تأثیر خواهد گذاشت؟
به گزارش خبرنگار سایت پزشکان بدون مرز به نقل از دویچه وله ، تحقیقات جدید به هر دوی این سئوال ها پاسخ مثبت می دهد. برخی از سگ ها وقتی که در خانه تنها می مانند دائما پارس می کنند، وسایل خانه را خراب و یا در منزل ادرار می کنند. در حالی که بعضی از آنها با تنهایی در خانه به راحتی کنار می آیند و این موضوع تغییری در رفتار آنها به وجود نمی آورد.
مطالعه ی رفتار سگ ها ظن دیرینه ی دانشمندان را به اثبات رسانده است، اینکه در میان سگ ها نیز خوش بین و بدبین وجود دارد.
تفاوت رفتار سگ های بدبین و خوش بین
سگ های بدبین به هنگام تنهایی در منزل رفتاری ناشی از ترس و استرس از خود نشان می دهند. در حالیکه سگ های خوش بین آرام اند و در رفتارشان تغییر چندانی دیده نمی شود.
این موضوع نشان می دهد که در سگ ها هم نگاه به نیمه ی پر یا خالی لیوان بر رفتار تأثیر می گذارد. یعنی سگی که خوش بین است تنهایی را به معنای افزایش خطر و امکان وقوع رویدادهای ناگوار تلقی نمی کند. اما سگی که بدبین است این موقعیت را اضطراب آور می یابد. چرا؟ چون منتظر وقوع رخدادی ناراحت کننده است.
دانشمندان تیم تحقیقاتی دانشگاه بریستول بریتانیا به ریاست مایکل مندل (Michael Mendl) مطالعات خود را بر روی ۲۴ سگ که به تازگی به مرکز نگهداری حیوانات بی سرپرست آورده شده بودند انجام دادند.
در نخستین روز آزمایش کننده سگی را انتخاب و با او در محیطی بسته به مدت ۲۰ دقیقه بازی می کرد.
روز بعد همین سگ را در همان محیط به مدت ۲۰ دقیقه تنها می گذاشتند. از طریق ویدئو از رفتار سگ در این مدت فیلم برداری می شد.
در قدم بعدی تمرکز بر این سئوال قرار می گرفت که کدام یک از این سگ ها خوش بین و کدام بدبین است. به کمک یک آزمایش سگ ها را به دو دسته ی خوش بین و بدبین تقسیم کردند.
نخست به سگ ها آموزش دادند که اگر در نقطه ای معین از یک مکان بایستند ظرف غذای آنها پر خواهد بود، در حالی که اگر در نقطه ی معین دیگری بایستند این ظرف خالی می شد.
پس از اینکه سگ ها این قانون را فرا گرفتند، آزمایش کنندگان ظرف غذا را در نقطه ای که میان دو نقطه ی تعیین شده ی نخستین قرار داشت قرار دادند. سگ هایی که زودتر به سوی ظرف غذا دویدند در رده ی خوش بین ها و آنهایی که دیرتر به سوی ظرف دویدند در رده ی بد بین ها قرار گرفتند. آزمایش کنندگان بر این نظر بودند که سگ های بدبین کندتر از خود واکنش نشان می دادند چون امید چندانی به یافتن غذا نداشتند.
نتیجه
در قدم سوم رفتار این دو دسته سگ به هنگام تنهایی با هم مقایسه شد. این مقایسه به نتیجه ای روشن رهنمون گردید: سگ های خوش بین به هنگامی که برای مدتی تنها گذاشته می شدند رفتارشان حاکی از ترس نبود. در حالی که سگ های بدبین تمایلی فزاینده به رفتارهای مخرب از خود نشان می دادند.
در روانشناسی انسانی ثابت شده است که احساسات یک انسان می تواند بر داوری های او تأثیر بگذارد و انسان های خوشبخت در موقعیت های ناخوشایند تعبیرهای مثبت تری از خود نشان می دهند.
تحقیقات جدید نشان می دهد که در سگ ها هم این موضوع صدق می کند. سگی که نیمه ی پر لیوان را می بیند به هنگام تنهایی ترس کمتری از خود نشان می دهد. در حالی که سگی که نگاهش به نیمه ی خالی همان لیوان است به هنگام تنهایی خانه بر سرش خراب می شود
