آشنایی با ماهیانی که در خاک هم زنده میمانند

حکیم مهر - مطالعات جدید نشان می*دهد که چگونه ماهی آمفی*بی (آب*خاکی)* تا 2 ماه می*تواند در خشکی زنده بماند. تمام مایحتاج این ماهی برای زنده ماندن در پوستش قرار دارد.

ماهی*های Mangrove ماهی*های کوچکی هستند که حدود یک اینچ یا 2 اینچ بوده و در آبگیرهای موقتی جنگل*های ماندابی آمریکای مرکزی، جنوبی و فلوریدا زندگی می*کنند.

هنگام فصول خشک سال که آبگیرها از بین می*روند، این ماهی*ها در لابه*لای برگ*ها یا سوراخ تنه درختان به زندگی ادامه می*دهند.

تا زمانی که جای آنها مرطوب باشد، ماهی می*تواند مدت زمان زیادی به وسیله تنفس هوا از طریق پوستش زنده بماند.

البته اکسیژن تنها موضوعی نیست که ماهی خارج از آب باید نگران آن باشد.

تمام سلول*های بدن جانوران نیاز به ترکیب مناسبی از یون*ها و آب دارند تا در نتیجه آن جانور زنده بماند.

در ماهی*ها معمولا دستگاه تنفسی یا همان آبشش*ها مسوولیت این فرآیند را به عهده دارند، اما در ماهی*های آب*های ماندابی Mangrove احتمالا آبشش*ها در روی زمین بلااستفاده هستند.

بنابراین چگونگی انجام تعادل یونی در این ماهی خارج از آب، یک راز ناشناخته مانده بود.

آخرین تحقیقات پروفسور پاتریسیا رایت از دانشگاه Guelph اونتاریو نشان داد که پوست ماهی*های ماندابی، کم*کاری آبشش را جبران می*کند.

با انجام یک*سری آزمایش*ها و نتایج حاصل از آن، پروفسور رایت و تیم همراهش دریافتند که در پوست ماهی، انبوهی از سلول*ها به نام یونوسیت قرار دارند.

این سلول*ها معمولا در آبشش دیگر ماهی*ها یافت می*شود و وظیفه متعادل نگاه داشتن میزان آب و نمک در سلول*های بدن ماهی را به*عهده دارد.

مطالعات بعدی تیم محققان نشان داد ماهی ماندابی علاوه بر داشتن تعداد زیادی از این سلول*ها در آبشش، دارای تعداد زیادی از این سلول*ها در پوست خودش نیز هست.

این سلول*ها در پوست ماهی*های دیگر فقط در مرحله نوزادی وجود داشته و به محض بزرگ*تر شدن ماهی، این سلول*ها از روی پوست ناپدید می*شوند.

برای نشان دادن عملکرد این سلول*ها روی پوست ماهی ماندابی، محققان تعدادی ماهی ماندابی را به مدت 9 روز خارج از آب نگه داشتند.

در طول این 9 روز، ماه*ها در سطحی مرطوب با محتوای آبی ایزوتوپ رادیواکتیو قرار داشتند.پس از مدتی، این ایزوتوپ*ها در پوست ماهی ظاهر شدند.

کاملا واضح بود که یون*ها از طریق پوست ماهی رد و بدل شده بودند.

علاوه بر این سلول*های یونوسیت به ماهی کمک می*کرد که با میزان متفاوت شوری موجود در آب هماهنگ شود.

زمانی که ماهی در محیطی مرطوب با محتوای آب شور قرار داده شد، سلول*های یونوسیت روی پوست بزرگ*تر شدند.

این موضوع نشان داد این سلول*ها برای متعادل نگهداشتن میزان نمک بیش از حد اضافی کار می*کنند.

زمانی که ماهی*ها دوباره به آب برگردانده شدند، این سلول*ها اندازه عادی خود را یافتند.

این*چنین سازگاری قابل توجهی باعث شده که ماهی ماندابی حتی در میان دیگر انواع ماهی آمفی*بی (آبی خاکی)* هم منحصر بفرد باشد.

ماهیان ریه*دار برای زنده ماندن خارج از آب باید حالات فیزیولوژیکی خودشان را تغییر دهند، اما با وجود این پوست منحصر بفرد ماهی ماندابی نیازی به تغییر حالات فیزیولوژیکی خود ندارد

و تمام فرآیندها به همان شکلی که در آب انجام می*شود، در خشکی هم انجام می*پذیرد و ماهی قادر است این شرایط را تا 60 روز حفظ کند.

ماهی ماندابی واقعا یکی از جانوران کوچک جالب توجه است.
