پيشگيري از شيوع بيماري هاري در حيوانات

در حيوانات جهت پيشگيري از شيوع بيماري هاري در يك منطقه دو روش اصلي بكار گرفته مي شود:

1. كنترل جمعيت ناقلين

در نقاطي كه هاري روباه شيوع دارد جهت كاهش جمعيت روباه ها ميتوان از شكار تله گذاري و در بعضي از موارد از سموم و يا گاز كشنده استفاده كرد. كاهش جمعيت روباه ها باعث كاهش موارد الودگي در حيوانات اهلي و در نهايت انسان ميشود، در عين حال پيشرفت بيماري در منطقه بطئي و بالا خره متوقف ميگردد.

نقاطي كه هاري سگ شيوع دارد در صورتي كه واكسيناسون اين حيوانات امكان پذير نباشد مانند كشور هايي كه حيوانات ولگرد در انها زياد و رسيدگي به مسئله واكسيناسون اين حيوانات به عهده سازمان مشخصي نيست، از بين بردن سگ هاي ولگرد مورد تائيد است.

2. واكسيناسون حيوانات ناقل

واكسيناسون انواع حيوانات اهلي كه بالقوه ميتوانند ناقل بيماري باشند،قطعا يكي از روشها جهت مبارزه واز بين بردن بيماري هاري است . البته اين اقدامات زماني موثر خواهد بود كه حداقل هشتاد درصد حيوانات را در بر گيرد.

بنابر اين حيوانات ولگرد و بدون صاحب كه واكسينه نمي گردند بايد معدوم شوند. در ميان انواع حيوانات وحشي كه ناقل اين بيماري ميباشند واكسيناسون روباه ها از طريق توزيع واكسن هاي خوراكي تاكنون مورد مطالعه و بررسي قرار گرفته و نتايج موفق اميزي جهت ريشه كني بيماري در منطقه داشته است. در مناطق عاري از هاري عامل بيماري هاري فقط به وسيله يك حيوان هار زنده مي تواند وارد منطقه گردد.
