مكانيسم اثر: به طور كلي كاربامات*ها بر سر جايگاه فعال آنزيم اتيل كوليناستراز، با استيل كولين رقابت مي*كنند. اين مواد با كاربامويلاسيون«Carbamoylation» جايگاه، با آنزيم فوق*الذكر پيوند تشكيل مي*دهند و بدون اينكه تغيير در ساختمان آن ايجاد كنند باعث مهار اثر آن مي*شوند. در صورتي كه اين پيوند هيدروليز شود. آنزيم فعاليت كامل خود را باز مي*يابد. مهار آنزيم استيل كولين استراز باعث مرگ انگل*هاي خارجي و يادر صورت مصرف بيش از حد مجاز، سبب ايجاد مسمويت در پستانداران مي*شود. ارگانوفسفره*ها نيز به طور مشابه آنزيم كولين استراز را مهار كرده، همانند كاربامات*ها باعث تجمع استيل كولين در سيناپس مي*شوند.
فارماكوكينتيك:
كارباريل بصورت تماسي عمل نموده، با حلاليت زيادي كه در چربي دارد به شكل سريع در بدن بندپايان جذب شده، به راحتي در سيستم اعصاب مركزي آنها منتشر مي*شود و سرانجام باعث مرگ آنان مي*شود.
موارد مصرف: جهت كنترل طيف وسيعي از انگل*هاي خارجي در دامهاي بزرگ و همچنين كنترل كك، كنه و شپش در سگ و گربه به كار مي*رود.

مقدار و روش مصرف:
كارباريل به صورت سوسپانسيون در آب و به شكل موضعي مصرف مي*شود.
در گاو از سوسپانسيون 1 تا 4 درصد، در گوسفند 1 تا 2 درصد و در بز از سوسپانسيون 1 درصد استفاده مي*شود.
سوسپانسيون*هاي فوق با افزودن مقدار متناسب به پودر كارباريل 40 درصد تهيه مي*شوند.
از پودر 5% كارباريل براي كنترل كك، كنه و شپش در سگ و گربه استفاده مي*شود.
