مکانیسم اثر :
تریکلابندازول از گروه بنزایمیدازولها می*باشد ولی مکانیسم اثر آن تا حدودی با سایر داروهای این گروه متفاوت است. این دارو از طریق مهار آنزیم فومارات رودوکتاز، اعمال متابولیکی و تولید انرژی بدن انگل را مختل نموده و باعث نابودی آن می*شود. این دارو بر چرخه زندگی انگل از مرحله نابالغ تاثیر کامل دارد.
فارماکوکینتیک:
تریکلابندازول پس از مصرف خوراکی جذب شده و حداکثر غلظت پلاسمایی آن پس از 36 روز ـ 12 ساعت ایجاد می*شود.
این دارو در بدن دام به سرعت به متابولیتهای سولفاکساید و سولفون تبدیل می*شود مشتقات مذکور به آلبومین پلاسما متصل شده و تا 7 روز قابل اندازه گیری هستند اتصال این دارو به آلبومین پلاسما موجب طولانی شدن تماس و تاثیر دارو بر انگل نا*بالغ می*شود. این دارو از طریق مدفوع دفع می*شود.

موارد مصرف:
تریکلابندازول یک داروی اختصاصی برای درمان بیماری فاسیلوز نشخوار کنند*گان محسوب می*شود بطوریکه برای درمان فاسیالوز حاد، تحت حاد و مزمن در گاو، گوسفند و بز که ناشی از انگلهای فاسیولاهپاتیکا و فاسیولازیگانتیکا می*باشد مورد استفاده قرار می*گیرند از بین داروهایی که بر علیه کرم کپلک کبدی مورد استفاده قرار می*گیرند تریکلابندازول بطور موثری هم بر اشکال بالغ انگل موثر واقع می*شود.
مقدار و روش مصرف:
مقادیر درمانی توصیه شده برای درمان آلودگیهای ناشی از انگل کپلک کبدی به شرح زیر است:
گوسفند و بز: mg/kg 10(یک بولوس 250 میلی گرمی به ازاء هر 25 کیلوگرم وزن بدن)
گاو: mg/kg 12(دو بولوس 250 میلی گرم به ازاء هر 40 کیلوگرم وزن بدن)
موارد منع مصرف:
از مصرف این دارو در گاو تا 7 روز پس از زایمان باید خودداری شود.
تداخل داروئی: -
عوارض جانبی:
ـ ضریب ایمنی این دارو بسیار بالا می*باشد. دوز سمی این دارو در گاو 17 و در گوسفند 20 دوز برابر دوز درمانی می*باشد.
ـ این دارو در تمام سنین، همچنین در گاوهای آبستن نیز با اطمینان قابل مصرف می*باشد.
زمان پرهیز از مصرف:
شیر: 7 روز
گوشت : 29 روز.
