آموزش نشستن روی دست به طوطی

لازمه ی شروع این تمرین این است که پرنده در کنار شما راحت باشد. در غیراینصورت قبل از آن لازم است با پرنده ارتباط برقرار کنید.

 با پرنده ی خود صحبت کنید: برای صحبت با پرنده زمان صرف کنید. با صدایی ملایم و آرام با او صحبت کنید.

 برای شروع جلسه ی آموزش با یک تشویقی آغاز کنید: برای جلب همراهی پرنده مفید است.

مراحل جلسه ی آموزشی:

 غذای مورد علاقه ی پرنده را در یک دست نگه داشته و دست/بازوی دیگر را نزدیک پرنده نگه دارید: آنقدر نزدیک که اگر بخواهد روی آن بنشیند بتواند به راحتی اینکار را انجام دهد.

دستی که غذا را نگه داشته باید نزدیک دست دیگر باشد. (استفاده از انگشت دست یا بازو به سایز پرنده بستگی دارد!)

 پرنده برای گرفتن غذا گردنش را خواهد کشید: تشویقی را به او بدهید و تشویقش کنید.

صبر کنید تا دوباره آماده شود و بعد دستتان را برای نشستن جلویش نگه دارید، تشویقی را نشانش دهید و از او بخواهید روی دستتان بیاید.

 پرنده مجددا برای دریافت تشویقی گردنش را می کشد، آن را به او بدهید و دوباره تشویقش کنید: در نهایت یک پا را روی دست/بازوی شما خواهد گذاشت تا راحت تر به تشویقی برسد. وقتی اینکار را کرد، تشویقش کنید.

 در گام بعدی پرنده با هر دو پا روی دست/بازوی شما خواهد نشست: وقتی این اتفاق افتاد به او جوایز و تشویقی زیادی بدهید.

 این مراحل را تکرار کنید و در هر گام به زبان بدن پرنده توجه داشته باشید.
