تحول بزرگ در شناخت سيستم ايمني

دانشمندان در دو گروه كاري مجزا، به*گونه*اي غيرمنتظره يك سيستم تنظيم كننده را در بدن انسان كشف كردند كه مي*تواند كل سيستم ايمني بدن را تحت تاثير قرار دهد.

روزنامه نيويورك تايمز به نقل از دانشمندان دانشگاه كمبريج در انگليس و كمبريج در ماساچوست آمريكا گزارش داد اين شبكه تنظيم*كننده مي*تواند اطلاعات جديدي در مورد سيستم ايمني بدن و چگونگي بروز گروهي از سرطانهاي غدد لنفاوي از جمله بيماري "هوچكينز"، به دست دهد.

اين شبكه، وابسته به يك عنصر ژنتيكي موسوم به "ميكرو "RNA است. RNA يك خويشاوند شيميايي همه*كاره DNA است ،هرچند اين ميكرو RNA ها براي تشكيل ژن ها بسيار كوتاه هستند ،اما مي*توانند در فعاليت RNA هاي بسيار بلندتر كه از DNA نسخه*برداري شده*اند و براي هدايت سنتز پروتئين*ها به كار مي*روند، مداخله كنند.

بر اساس اطلاعات حاصل شده، يك ميكرو RNA كه " "miR-155 خوانده مي*شود و يكي از ۵۰۰ ميكرو RNA است كه در طي ۱۰ سال گذشته در پستانداران كشف شده، در سلولهاي فعال نوع B كه سلولهاي سازنده آنتي*بادي در سيستم ايمني و همچنين در غدد لنفاوي هستند، فراوان تر يافت مي*شوند.

اين دو گروه از دانشمندان، قصد داشتند از موشهايي كه ژن توليدكننده ميكرو RNA آنها حذف شده بود، گونه جديدي از موشها را توليد كنند.

گروه تحقيقاتي انگليسي دريافت موشهايي كه ژنهاي آنها دست كاري شده بود به واكسيناسيون پاسخ ندادند و سيستم ايمني آنها تكامل نيافت.

اين موش*ها بدون ،miR-155 قادر نيستند پروتئين*هاي "سيتوكين"، كه عامل ارتباط سلولها با يكديگر و همچنين هماهنگ*كننده مولفه*هاي مختلف سيستم ايمني است، توليد كنند.

در عين حال گروه تحقيقاتي آمريكايي نيز دريافت بدون miR-155 سيستم ايمني ديگر نمي*تواند سلولهاي سازنده آنتي بادي را براي حمله به مهاجمان به دقت و صحيح انتخاب كند.

طبق اعلام اين گروه، دخالت miR-155 در سيستم ايمني يك "تحول كاملا جديد" است كه منجر به بازنگري و تجديد نظر در بسياري از امور خواهد شد.

تاكنون اغلب ايمني*شناسان گمان مي*كردند فاكتورهاي نسخه*برداري كه كار كنترل پروتئين*هاي تنظيم كنده روشن يا خاموشي را بر عهده دارند، سيستم ايمني را كنترل مي*كنند.

كار بر روي miR-155 باب جديد را در شناخت سيستم ايمني گشوده است اما كشف هرگونه عواقب عملي براي ايمني شناسان هنوز بسيار زود است.
