خرگوش و بهداشت عمومي

هر چند موارد گزارش شده از انتقال بيماريهاي خطرناك بين انسان و حيوان در خرگوشهاي اهلي و خانگي نادراست با اين وجود مهمترين اين بيماريها عبارتند از سالمونلوز، تولارمي ، هاري ، عفونتهاي قارچي پوست و مو، سل وتوكسوپلاسموز.

جهت جلوگيري از بروز بيماري در حيوان و كاهش احتمال انتقال آن به صاحب حيوان توصيه هاي زير بايدمورد توجه قرار گيرد.

واكسن هاري جز در مواردي كه حيوان در معرض هاري قرار دارد و يا در مناطقي كه هاري شايع مي باشد توصيه نمي شود و براي پيشگيري از بروز ساير بيماريهاي متداول در خرگوش نيز تاكنون واكسني تهيه نشده است . v v v v 1 - پس از خريد حيوان ، جهت معاينه و بررسي وضعيت سلامت آن و دريافت راهنمائيهاي لازم به درمانگاههاي دامپزشكي مراجعه شود. v 2 - حتي الامكان با ساخت جايگاه و لانه مناسب ، حيوان در خارج از محيط منزل و به عنوان مثال در حياط نگهداري گردد. 3 - در صورتيكه حيوان در داخل منزل نگهداري مي شود بايد داراي جايگاهي خاص و نسبتا محدود باشد و از رفت وآمد آزادانه حيوان در محيط منزل بايد جلو گيري شود. 4 - محل نگهداري و لانه حيوان روزانه نظافت گردد. 5 - از تماس حيوان با حيوانات خانگي افراد ديگر و همچنين حيوانات غيرخانگي نظير گربه هاي ولگرد جلوگيري شود. 6 - نظافت شخصي علي الخصوص شستن دستها پس از تماس با حيوان از اهميت زيادي برخوردار است . 7 - در صورت مشاهده هرگونه تغيير در ظاهر و يا رفتار حيوان ، جهت بررسي علت آن به درمانگاه دامپزشكي مراجعه شود و بر اساس نظر دامپزشك معالج انجام معاينات دوره اي مورد توجه قرار گيرد.
