علت

مهمترین علل ایجاد این عارضه که در اسبهای جوان که تازه شروع به کار کرده اند اتفاق می افتد عبارتست از ، کار و تمرین زیاد و ناگهانی ، حرکت سریع در زمینهای ناهموار ، ارث ، نعل بندی نادرست ، ضربه های ناگهانی ناشی از لیز خوردن ، وضعیت نامناسب اندام حرکتی و شکستگی طولی و عرضی استخوان قلم جانبی که می تواند باعث تحریک قسمت زایای استخوان گردد و تولید غده و یا زائده در استخوان کند.

نشانه ها

بیشتر در اسبهای جوان 4-2 سال اتفاق می افتد. التهاب و تورم شدید وسفت در ناحیه ، گرم شدن ناحیه ، عکس العمل شدید در برابر لمس یا فشار ، لنگش شدید هنگام کار ( در هنگام قدم زدن لنگش زیاد مشخص نیست ) از جمله نشانه های این بیماری می باشند.

مراحل تشخیص

لنگش، درد شدید ، تورم و گرم شدن ناحیه ، استفاده از رادیوگرافی.

درمان

استفاده از کمپرس و بانداژ مرطوب آب سرد ، وجود بستر نرم ، استراحت تقریباً 30 روز ، استفاده از داروهای ضد التهاب (موضعی و تزریقی) استفاده از داروهای سوزاننده موجود در بازار و در موارد خیلی گسترده و شدید با جراحی و تراشیدن موضع و زائده به ترتیب با توجه به وخامت بیماری از جمله درمانهای توصیه شده برای این عارضه می باشند.

پیش بینی

پیش بینی این بیماری مطلوب است به استثناء مواردی که زائده بین استخوان و تاندون باشد که در این صورت لنگش دائمی است و در کل این بیماری در صورت انجام گرفتن اقدامات فوری و لازم کاملاً قابل پیش بینی می باشد.
