طوطی ها چپ دست هستند!

پژوهش جدید محققان حاکی از آن است که طوطی ها هم می توانند چپ دست یا راست دست باشند.

به گزارش شبکه ایران به نقل از تلگراف، پژوهش جدید محققان نشان می دهد طوطی ها هم مانند انسان ها به انتخاب خود از یکی از طرفین چپ یا راست بدن خود بیش از دیگری استفاده می کنند و اغلب آنان چپ دست و چپ پا هستند.

محققان استرالیایی دریافته اند همه طوطی هایی که طی این پژوهش مورد بررسی قرار گرفته بودند استفاده از چشم چپ و پای چپ یا چشم راست و پای راست را ترجیح می دادند.

دکتر کالوم براون از دانشگاه سیدنی که ریاست این تیم پژوهشی را برعهده داشته در این باره می گوید:

شما این رابطه را در اغلب گونه ها مشاهده می کنید که از دستی برای برداشتن یا گرفتن اشیا استفاده می کنند که با چشم همان سمت از بدن آن رادیده اند و بین چشمی که آنها برای دیدن مورد استفاده قرار می دهند

و دستی که برای گرفتن اجسام استفاده می کنند، رابطه نزدیکی وجود دارد.

وی می افزاید: برخی گونه ها چپ دست یا راست دست هستند و در برخی دیگر تفاوت زیادی در این مورد وجود ندارد.

در این پژوهش که نتایج آن در نشریه Biological Letters منتشر شده است، 320 طوطی از 16 گونه مختلف استرالیایی مورد بررسی قرار گرفتند.

تنایج پژوهش نشان داد 47 درصد طوطی ها چپ دست و 33 درصد راست دست بودند و بقیه نیز از هر 2 دست خود برای گرفتن اجسام استفاده می کردند.
