اهميت اب در سگها

یکی از مهمترین مواد غذایی آب است. شاید به ظاهر فراموش کنیم که آب عملا یکی از ارکان تغذیه است اما نقش حیاتی آب در متابولیسم بدن و در واقع ادامه حیات غیر قابل کتمان است.

سگها نیاز های تغذیه ای ویژه به آب دارند و با توجه به شرایط محیطی و بیماریها این نیاز ها تغییر می کنند مثلا سگ تازه زا به میزان بیشتری آب نیاز دارد تا بتواند شیر تولید کند و به توله هایش بدهد و یا سگی که دچار بیماریهایی مثل اسهال شده است باید آب از دست رفته را جایگزین کرد و همینطور سگی که به بیماری دیابت دچار شده است به میزان بیشتری آب نیاز دارد و این موضوع در مورد بیماری کوشینگ نیز صدق می کند و بیماریهای کلیوی میزان نیاز به آب را افزایش می دهند.

آب باید حتما در ظرف تمیزی به حیوان داده شود.و چنانچه این ظرف بطور مرتب شسته نشود و بوی کهنگی بدهد سگ فقط زمانی آب خواهد نوشید که خیلی تشنه شده باشد و طبیعتا کم شدن میزان مصرف آب عوارضی را در پی خواهد داشت.

باید توجه داشت که در روزهای گرم تابستان چنانچه سگ در فضای باز نگهداری می شود احتمال تبخیر آب از ظرفش وجود دارد و از طرفی میزان نیازش به آب نیز افزوده شده است شما باید حتما مزان نیاز روزانه سگ به آب را بدانید و اگر میزان مصرفش بیش از حد طبیعی باشد نشانه وجود بعضی بیماریها خواهد بود.

یک سگ در طول روز نیاز به 40 میلی لیتر آب به ازای هر کیلوگرم وزن بدنش دارد مثلا یک سگ 5 کیلویی در روز فقط 200 میلی لیتر آب خواهد نوشید و یا یک سگ 10 کیلویی 400 میلی لیتر یعنی کمتر از نیم لیتر.

و یا یک سگ بزرگ ژرمن 40 کیلویی در روز حدود 1600 میلی لیتر آب باید بنوشد به اندازه یک بطری نوشابه خانواده. و این فرمول در زمانی است که دمای هوا معتدل باشد و در هوای گرم متفاوت خواهد بود و با رعایت این فرمول سگ به اندازه نیازش آب خواهد نوشید و تا حدودی می توان میزان ادرارش را کنترل نمود.سگهای لاغر با توجه به ترکیب بدنشان به میزان بیشتری آب نیاز دارند
