چشم درد در کبوتر علل مختلفی دارد:۱-چشم درد باکتریایی ۲-چشم درد ویروسی

در نوع اول علل بوجود آمدن بیماری جراحت یا آلودگی مکان کبوتر است که عامل بیماریزا(باکتری)وارد چشم حیوان شده و باعث پدید آمدن بیماری می شود.

درمان آن توسط انواعی از آنتی بیوتیکها مانند:پماد اریترومایسین چشمی ویا قطره کلرامفینیکل انجام می گیرد.در برخی حالات هم تایلوزین نیز جواب می دهد.

۲-چشم درد ویروسی احتمال دارد که علت ایجاد کننده آن بیماری آنفولانزا باشد.

اگر بیماری ویروسی باشد فقط باید توسط واکسن دوگانه نیوکاسل و آنفولانزا از بیماری پیشگیری نمود.بدین صورت که هر۴ماه یکبار واکسیناسیون تکرار شود.

طریقه تشخیص:در بیماری باکتریایی اطراف چشم حیوان آب جمع شده وپرنده چشم خود را می بندد.اما در بیماری ویروسی (آنفولانزا)اطراف چشم حیوان قرمز شده و متورم می گردد.
