عملکرد سنگدان در کبوتر

سنگدان یا معده عضلانی در کبوتر از دو زوج عضلانی ضخیم و نازک متقاطع تشکیل شده است.که با فشردن و ساییدن مواد غذایی آنها را هضم فیزیکی می نماید.

کوئیلین یا آستر زرد رنگ سنگدان بر اثر ساییدن زیاد مواد غذایی و همچنین بر اثر رنگدانه های صفرا که تحت تاثیر انقباضات آنتی پریستالیک در جهت خلاف به قسمتهای قدامی دستگاه گوارش منتقل شده اند به وجود آمده است

(در حقیقت صفرا در روده کوچک ترشح شده اما توسط انقباضات فوق به سنگدان انتقال می یابد)غذا در سنگدان فرصت می یابد که تحت تاثیر اسید کلریدریک و همچنین آنزیمهای مترشحه از پیش معده قرار گرفته و شروع به هضم شدن نماید.

سنگدان بعنوان یکی از اعضای مهم دستگاه گوارش کبوتر محسوب می شود.همیشه توجه داشته باشید که سنگ ریزه در اختیار کبوترانتان قرار داشته باشد

زیرا سنگریزه ها در سنگدان به خرد کردن غذا کمک کرده و نقش مهمی را در این جهت ایفا می نمایند.
