محل نگهداري همستر

همسترها در شرايط طبيعي لانه اي به عمق 1 تا 2 متر در زيرزمين، حفر كرده و زندگي خود را در آن سپري مي كنند. آنها در فصل زمستان در اين محل به خواب زمستاني مي روند. ولي يك همستر خانگي، در قفس زندگي مي كند و

خواب زمستاني هم ممكن است براي وي معني نداشته باشد، چرا كه شرايط دما، نور و... (كه زمان اين خواب را براي وي تعيين مي كند) با محيط طبيعي اش متفاوت است .

نخواهد بود و آنها به مراقبت زيادي نياز ندارند. با اين حال بايد براي تأمين رفاه و آسايش وي و كاهش خطرات احتمالي، شرايط ايده آلي را در قفس برايش مهيا سازيد .


طراحي و جنس قفسي كه براي اين حيوان خانگي انتخاب مي كنيد بايد به گونه اي باشد كه آسيبي به وي وارد نسازد و در عين حال قابل جويدن بوسيله حيوان نيز نباشد .


قفس بايد از فضاي كافي برخوردار باشد و بهتر است كه حداقل به ابعاد 30×50×65 سانتيمتر باشد. در ضمن شكل و طراحي آن بايد به گونه اي باشد كه تميز كردنش براحتي امكانپذير باشد. استفاده از قفسهاي چند طبقه توصيه

نمي شود. كف قفس را بايد از موادي مانند خاك اره، ماسه نرم و شن و ... بپوشانيد تا رطوبت اضافي را جذب كند.

بهتر است موادي كه براي بستر استفاده مي كنيد قابل جويدن بري همستر نبوده و ضخامتشان نيز از 7 سانتيمتر كمتر نباشد. از آنجايي كه همسترها حيوانات پرتحركي بوده و عدم تحرك و جنب و جوش موجب افسردگي و ناراحتي

آنها مي شود، بايد اسباب تفريح و بازي آنها را در قفس فراهم سازيد. اين اسباب بازي مي تواند شامل سرسره، حلقه هاي سرگرم كننده، توپ و... ب اشد. ظروف غذا و آب را در گوشه اي از قفس و به گونه اي ثابت كنيد كه

محتوياتشان به آساني نريزد. به ياد داشته باشيد كه همسترها حيوانات بسيار تميزي هستند بنابراين اگر يك محل مناسب در قسمتي از قفس براي دفع و ادرار كردنشان مهيا سازيد، آنها در محل مذكور دفع ادرار و مدفوع خواهند كرد

و تميز كردن قفس، براي شما راحتتر خواهد بود .


محل قفس همستر بايد در جايي مناسبي از لحاظ شرايط نور، دما و... باشد. براي مثال چون همسترها حيوانات شبكاري بوده و روزها را در خواب سپري مي كنند و در واقع چشمان آنها براي قرار رگفتن در برابر نور زياد تكامل نيافته

است، اين محل بايد به دور از تابش مستقيم آفتاب و نور شديد باشد. از طرف ديگر كاهش زياد نور و همچنين دما (به زير 4 تا 5 درجه سانتيگراد) باعث خواهد شد تا حيوان به خواب زمستاني برود. بنابراين اگر دوست نداريد كه

همسترتان را در خواب زمستاني ببينيد، بايد اين مسأله را نيز در نظر داشته باشيد. بهترين دما براي نگهداري همستر بين 25 تا 26 درجه سانتيگراد و رطوبت نسبي 50 درصد مي باشد .


نكته ديگري كه در مورد امكانات داخل قفس همستر بايد در نظر داشته باشيد اين است كه چون اين حيوانات بطور غريزي تمايل دارند درون سوراخ و حفرات پنهان شوند. بهتر است كه يك قوطي، يا يك قطعه لوله ای استوانه اي درون

قفس وي قرار دهيد تا در مواقعي كه دوست دارد، درون آن مخفي شود. به ياد داشته باشيد كه موقع زايمان بايد فضاي بيشتري را براي حيوان مهيا سازيد .
