زیستگاه اصلی: آمریکای جنوبی ؛ برزیل

حداکثر اندازه: 2.5 اینچ / 6 سانتیمتر

تشخیص جنسیت: ماده ها توپرتر و بزگتر هستند ( بخصوص زمانی که از بالا به آنها نگاه می کنید ).

تغذیه: با قرص های غذایی که به کف می روند و نیز غذاهای خشک منجمد ، تغذیه شان کنید.

از غذاهای زنده مثل کرم خونی ، کرم سفید و میگوی آب شور هم برای خوراکشان استفاده کنید هر چند که دسترسی به کرم خونی منجمد راحت تر به نظر می رسد .

رفتار: صلح جو هستند و بصورت گروهی زندگی می کنند.

سازگاری: بهترین گزینه ها برای نگهداری در کنار این ماهیان ، سیچلایدهای کوتوله و تتراها هستند.

این کوری های درشت جثه ، می توانند با هم تانکی های صلح جوی بزرگتر از خود هم کنار بیایند. درگروهی حداقل 6 تایی نگهداریشان کنید.

حداقل حجم تانک: 30 گالن / 113 لیتر

دکور تانک: استفاده از دکورهای چوبی و صخره ای به همراه گیاهان تزیینی توصیه می شود. بهتر است برای بستر تانکش از ماسه نرم استفاده کنید.
