طوطی را انفرادی نگهداری کنیم یا جفت؟

انواع طوطیان از بزرگ و کوچک جانورانی اجتماعی بوده و تحمل تنهایی را ندارند. اگر همنوعی نداشته باشند اجبارا همدمی (انسان) را برخواهند گزید.

لذا در صورت انفرادی بودن طوطی، نگهدارنده بایستی خود را همدم او تلقی نماید.در صورتیکه قادر به صرف وقت کافی برای پرنده انفرادی نمیباشید، از ابتدا اقدام به خرید یک جفت طوطی نمایید.

اما در این حال توجه دو پرنده نسبت به شما به میزان یک پرنده انفرادی نخواهد بود، زیرا دو پرنده به قدر کافی یکدیگر را مشغول می سازند.

علاوه بر ان دو پرنده به خوبی پرنده انفرادی قادر به یادگیری و تقلید صدا نیستند، مگر انکه یکی از اندو قادر به یادگیری و تکلم باشد.

طوطی ئی که در فروشگاه به همنوعی خود خو گرفته نبایستی از او جدا گردد، زیرا در غیر اینصورت هر دوی انها غصه خورده و فقدان یکدیگر را تا مدتها فراموش نخواهند کرد.

در اینحال خوگیری به انسان نیز مشکل خواهد بود.این امر خصوصا در مورد جدایی ناپذیرها (همانگونه که از اسمشان بر می اید)صادق بوده و انها را بایستی لا اقل به صورت جفت نگهداری نمود.

در صورتیکه مایل به داشتن دو طوطی هستید،از ابتدا هر دو را خریداری نمایید.خریداری طوطی ها در فواصل زمانی میتواند به دلایل تحمل نکردن و یا ابراز قدرتمندی طوطی اولی نسبت به دومی با مشکلاتی همراه باشد.
