ماهی جلبکخوار طلائی (Gold Algae Eater)

جلبکخوار طلائی دارای رنگ طلائی بر روی بدن وخطی افقی درطرفین بدن می باشد.زیستگاه این ماهی شمال هند می باشد.معمولا" نگهداری این ماهی در آکواریوم به منظور کنترل رشد جلبک ها است.
آکواریومی با حجم 150 لیتر،همراه با گیاهان و فضاهایی برای پنهان شدن آن و دمای 23 تا 26 درجه ی سانتی گراد شرایطی مناسب را برای این ماهی به وجود می آورد.این ماهی شرایط مختلف آب را تحمل می کند.اما باید شرایط آب ثابت باشد تا از وارد آمدن استرس به ماهی جلوگیری شود.در آکواریوم های کوچکتر این ماهی از قلمرو خود دفاع می کند.در زمانی که این ماهی با ماهی هایی همچون دیسکس، آنجل و انواع کتفیش ها نگهداری شود باید توجه داشت که قلمروطلبی آن ممکن است موجب آزار این ماهی ها شود و یا نزاع در آکواریوم رخ دهد.
تولید مثل این ماهی درون آکواریوم تا به حال موفقیت آمیز نبوده است.
غذای اصلی این ماهی، جلبک می باشد که می تواند آن را از دریاچه و آبگیرهای جلبکدارتهیه نمود.
جلبکخوار طلائی با ماهی هایی همچون بارب، گورامی، مولی و دم شمشیری سازگاری دارد.
