تمساح سفیدنادرترین جانور جهان توسط یک ماهیگیر درمردابی کشف شد .

این تمساح فقط یک فوت قد دارد و یکی از دو مخلوق نادر جهان است. توسط یک ماهیگیر اهل لوئیزیانا در مردابی کشف شد و به خانه جدیدش در باغ وحش نیواورلئان منتقل شد.
کمی بیشتر از ۱۴ پوند وزن دارد.این جانور آلبینو (زال) نیست بلکه به لحاظ ژنتیکی به این پدیده لوسیزم (Leucism) میگویند. یعنی اینکه رنگدانه های پوستش کم شده است.
