دودو نام پرنده ای بی پرواز و منقرض شده است. زیستگاه این پرنده جزیره موریس در اقیانوس هند بوده است. این پرنده در سال ۱۶۸۱ منقرض شده است

این پرنده ناتوان از پرواز و بومی جزیره موریس در اقیانوس هند بود. دودو که وابسته به فاخته و کبوتریان بود، در حدود یک متر ارتفاع و وزنی نزدیک به ۲۰ کیلوگرم داشت.

از میوه ها تغذیه و بر روی زمین آشیانه سازی می کرد.

دودو از میانه سده ۱۷ منقرض شده است. معمولاً همچون یک نمونه از گونه های در خطر انقراض به کار گرفته شده است؛

چرا که انقراضش در تاریخ ثبت شده و فعالیت های بشر، مستقیماً در نابودی آن سهیم بوده است.

همان پرنده ایی که در عصر یخنبدان به دنبال هندوانه بود.
