راز زنده ماندن قرقاول چیست ؟

قرقاول ها.به نظر موجودات احمقی می رسند که هیچ تلاشی برای نجات تخم هایشان نمی کنند و با رنگ براقشان آن ها را در جنگل رها می کنند.

اما انگار همین رنگ براق جوجه قرقاول ها را از دست شکارچیان نجات می دهد

پرنده ها در هر کاری که خنگ به نظر برسند، اغلب برای نگهداری از جوجه هایشان تا حدی از هوش خوبی برخوردارند و به زندگی جوجه هایشان و در نتیجه امنیت تخم هایشان اهمیت می دهند.

حتی به طور طبیعی هم بسیاری از پرنده ها ویژگی های خاصی در این زمینه دارند، مثلا اگر روی زمین لانه می سازند، اغب رنگ تخم ها به گونه ای است که توجه شکارچیان را جلب نکند.

اما وقتی داستان به قرقاول ها می رسد، کلا عوض می شود.

قرقاول ها در جنگل های انبوه و البته پر از شکارچی تخم می گذارند، اما بدون هیچ حفاظی، هر جا که باشد، آن هم با رنگ براق و چشمگیری که این تخم ها دارند.

در نگاه اول به نظر می رسد قرقاول های احمق باید با این رفتارشان خیلی زود منقرض می شدند، اما در واقع آن ها خیلی هم قدیمی هستند.

در قرقاول ها خانواده معنایی ندارد و هر نر و ماده ای ممکن است با هم ارتباط برقرار کنند. ماده تخم می گذارد و می رود و نری باید پیدا بشود که ۱۷ روز روی تخم ها بخوابد، چه پدر آن ها باشد چه نباشد.

ماده ها اغلب کنار تخم سایر ماده ها تخم می گذارند. به گفته محققین رنگ براق تخم ها به همین درد می خورد.

خب، وقتی تخم ها خیلی زیاد باشند، شکارچی نمی تواند همه آن ها را بخورد. به علاوه وقتی تخم ها کنار هم قرار بگیرند احتمال بیشتری وجود دارد که یک نر زودتر آن ها را پیدا کند و روی آن ها بخوابد.
