میگویند اینها بعضی از مهارت های یک معلم وب هستند: " برقراری ارتباط چشمی، برای دانستن اینکه فرد موضوع را فهمیده؛ باز خورد گرفتن با سوال کردن تا معلم متوجه شود آیا میتواند درس را ادامه بدهد یا نه و درنهایت درک این نکته که معلم و شاگرد باید با هم گام بردارند و ... حالا میخواهیم ببینیم در دنیای حیوانات رابطه معلم و شاگردی چگونه است." مورچه ها تکنیک هایی در آموزش دارند که باعث شرمندگی محققان شده است. مورچه ها هم مثل آدم ها، معلم دارند؛ معلم های ریزه میزه ای که به شاگردان نشان میدهند برای اینکه عضو مفیدی در اجتماع باشند باید بدانند و یاد بگیرند. جالبترین کشف دانشمندان این است که مورچه های معلم، خود را باسرعت نو آموزان تنظیم میکنند و قبل از شروع درس بعدی ، به این اطمینان میرسند که بچه مورچه ، درس قبلی را خوب یاد گرفته باشد. در دنیای حیوانات معلم تعریف معینی دارد؛ کسی که در حضور مشاهده گر بی تجربه و تازه کار، رفتارش را طوری تغییر میدهد که شاگردش سریع تر یاد بگیرد. دردنیای آدم ها، شاگرد برای یادگیری هزینه میکند اما بین مورچه ها این معلم است که باید بهای تعلیم را بپردازد و آن کند شدن سرعت خودش است. در ضمن اعتقاد بر این است که در آموزش، باز خورد دو طرفه بین شاگرد و معلم وجود دارد. به عبارتی، معلم اطلاعات و راهنمایی های لازم را در حد توانایی شاگرد به او میدهد و شاگرد هروقت که درس را یاد گرفت ، به معلم علامت میدهد. ● پایت را بگذار جای پای من! مورچه ها با کمک مولکول هایی شیمیایی به نام فرمون، موقع راه رفتن برروی زمین ردی از خود به جای میگذارند و به این وسیله مورچه های دیگر را به سمت غذا راهنمایی میکنند اما فقط خودشان از کار خود سر در می آورند. به همین خاطر یک مورچه معلم (که ماده است) کار هدایت نفر به نفر را به عهده میگیرد. او یک مورچه تازه کار که مایل است به خاطر غذا دنبال او بیاید را پیدا میکند و به او آموزش میدهد. این نو آموز موقع راه رفتن، پی در پی می ایستد و با پاهایش به شکم و پاهای مورچه معلم میزند تا به او بفهماند این روند را ادامه بدهد. اگر اینکار را انجام ندهد مورچه معلم می ایستد.
