موارد مصرف*: تيوسولفات* سديم* در درمان*مسموميت* با آرسنيك* مصرف* مي*شود.اين* دارو به* عنوان* داروي* كمكي* در
درمان* مسموميت* با سيانيد، همراه* بانيتريت* سديم* و براي* جلوگيري* از سميت*كليوي* ناشي* از سيس*پلاتين* استفاده*مي*شود.

مكانيسم* اثر: اين* دارو معمولا همراه* سديم*نيتريت* در مسموميت* با سيانيد مصرف*مي*شود. بدين* ترتيب* كه* يون* سيانيد تبديل*شده* به* سيانومتهموگلوبين* را به*تيوسيانات* تبديل* مي*كند. همچنين* احتمالابا ايجاد كمپلكس* غير سمي* با سيس* پلاتين*(سيس*پلاتين* ـ تيوسولفات*) از رسيدن*مقادير زياد سيس* پلاتين* به* كليه*هاجلوگيري* به*عمل* مي*آورد.

فارماكوكينتيك*: پس* از تزريق* به*سرعت* دربافتها توزيع* مي*گردد. نيمه* عمر آن*
20 ـ 15 دقيقه* است* ولي* وقتي* به*صورت*تيوسيانات* درآيد به* حدود 7 ـ 3 روزافزايش* مي*يابد. دارو از راه* كليه*ها دفع*مي*شود.

هشدارها: به*دليل* حضور يون* سديم*، درسيروز كبدي*، نارسايي* احتقاني* قلب*،توكسمي* ناشي* از حاملگي* و نارسايي*كليوي* و فشار خون* با احتياط مصرف*شود.

عوارض* جانبي*: غير از اختلالات* اسمزي*ناشي* از مصرف* تيوسولفات* سديم*، اين*دارو نسبتŠ غيرسمي* است*.

نكات* قابل* توصيه*: در صورت* بروز تحريك*يا حساسيت* مصرف* آن* بايد قطع* گردد.

مقدار مصرف*: در مسموميت* با آرسنيك*،ابتدا 0/1 گرم* به* آهستگي* در وريد تزريق*مي*گردد و در سه* روز بعد به* ترتيب* 0/2،0/3 و 0/4 گرم* به* همان* روش* تزريق*مي*شود. در مسموميت* با سيانور، پس* ازتجويز نيتريت* سديم*، مقدار 12/5 گرم*به*صورت* وريدي* تزريق* مي*شود. درصورت* لزوم*، مي*توان* مقدار مصرف* را با6/25 گرم* تكرار كرد. براي* جلوگيري* ازنفروتوكسيسيتي* حاصل* از سيس* پلاتين*مقدار مصرف* مشخصي* بيان* نشده* است*ولي* بعضي* از پزشكان* مقدار 2g/m2 را قبل*از مصرف* سيس* پلاتين* تجويز كرده*اند.
