موارد مصرف*: ديمن* هيدرينات* در درمان*سرگيجه*، تهوع*، بيماري* مسافرت* وهمچنين* سرگيجه* ناشي* از بيماريهاي* كه* برروي* بخش* دهليزي* گوش* اثر مي*گذارند(مانند التهاب* لابيرنت*) به*كار برده* مي*شود.

مكانيسم* اثر: ديمن* هيدرينات* يك* داروي*آنتي* هيستامين* است* و احتمالا با اثر ضدموسكاريني* مركزي* باعث* كاهش* فعاليت*لابيرنت* و مركز CTZ در بصل*النخاع*مي*شود و باعث* مهار سرگيجه* و تهوع*است*.

فارماكوكينتيك*: اين* دارو بخوبي* از راه*خوراكي* جذب* مي*گردد متابوليسم* آن*كبدي* است* و از كليه* طي* 24 ساعت*به*صورت* متابوليت* دفع* مي*گردد.

هشدارها:
1 ـ احتمال* بروز سرگيجه*،تسكين*، اغتشاش* شعور و كمي* فشار خون*در بيماران* سالخورده* وجود دارد.
2 ـ احتمال* بروز خشكي* دهان* وجود داردو در صورت* مصرف* مداوم* ممكن* است*باعث* بروز بيماريهاي* دهان* و دندان*
گردد.

عوارض* جانبي*: خواب*آلودگي*، غليظ شدن*ترشحات* نايژه*، تاري* ديد، دفع* مشكل* يادردناك* ادرار، هيجان* و عصبانيت* ازعوارض* اين* دارو هستند.
تداخل*هاي* دارويي*: اين* دارو اثرات* ضدموسكاريني* آمانتادين*، آتروپين* و تركيبات*مشابه*، هالوپيريدول*، فنوتيازين*ها وپروكائين* آميد را تشديد مي*كند. مصرف*همزمان* با داروهاي* سمي* براي* گوش*مي*تواند علايم* مسموميت* گوشي* ناشي* ازاين* داروها را بپوشاند. اين* دارو اثرات*داروهاي* مضعف* CNS را تشديد مي*كند.

نكات* قابل* توصيه*:
1 ـ بمنظور كاهش*تحريك* گوارشي*، همراه* غذا، آب* يا شيرمصرف* شود.
2 ـ داروهاي* ضد هيستامين* ممكن* است*علايم* مسموميت* گوشي* ناشي* از مصرف*مقادير زياد ساليسيلات*ها را بپوشانند.
3 ـ احتمال* بروز خواب*آلودگي* وجود دارد.بنابراين* از كار با آلاتي* كه* نيازمندهوشياري* است* مانند رانندگي* خودداري*شود.
4 ـ ديمن* هيدرنات* به* عنوان* ضد سرگيجه*حداقل* نيم* ساعت* قبل* از مسافرت* بايدمصرف* گردد.

مقدار مصرف*:
بزرگسالان*: به* عنوان* ضد استفراغ* و ضدسرگيجه* مقدار 100 ـ 50 ميلي*گرم* هر چهارساعت* برحسب* نياز مصرف* مي*شود.حداكثر مقدار مصرف* در بزرگسالان* تا400mg/day است*.
كودكان*: در كودكان* 6 ـ 1 ساله*
25mg/day ـ 12/5 و در كودكان* 12 ـ 7ساله*، 50mg/day ـ 25 مصرف* مي*شود.
