آیا شتر مرغ سرخود رازیر شن پنهان می کند ؟

شتر مرغ پرنده نسبتاً عجیبی است. گرچه در زندگی این حیوان چیزهای غیر عادی و شگفت بسیار است. ولی هیچگاه سرخود رادرشن پنهان نمی كند.

برخی چنین پنداشته اند كه وقتی شترمرغ از چیزی وحشت می كند،سرخود را درمیان شن كرده و به خیال خودش از نظر دشمن ناپدید گشته است.

اما غافل از آنكه در آن حال شكارچی پیش می آید و به راحتی یاو را به چنگ می آورد. البته چنین صحنه ای راكسی درهیچ جاندیده است.

تنها كاری كه شتر مرغ به هنگام ترسیدن انجام می دهد آن است كه خود را به زمین چسبانده گردنش را موازی با آن دراز می كند.

اما اگر ببیند كه خطر همچنان اورا تهدید می كند، مانند حیوانات دیگر ازجا برخاسته، پا به فرار می گذارد.

شتر مرغ یكی از پرندگان است ، ولی قادر به پرواز نمی باشد. اما هنگام دویدن سرعت قابل ملاحظه ای دارد.

شتر مرغ تندپاترین مرغ روی زمین است. به هنگام دویدن حدود ۸۰ كیلومتر در ساعت می پیماید، ولی قادر نیست كه بیش از یك كیلومتر به چنین سرعتی ادامه دهد.

شتر مرغ آفریقایی بزرگ ترین پرنده روی زمین است، زیرا حدود دومتر طول و ۱۵۰ كیلوگرم وزن دارد. در تخمگذاری نیز شترمرغ قهرمان مرغ های جهان است.

زیرا درشت ترین تخم مرغ به قطر ۱۵ و درازای ۱۸ سانتی متر از شكم او خارج می شود. برای آب پز كردن چنین تخم مرغی باید ۴۰ دقیقه صبركرد.

البته درصورتی آن را می پزیم كه شما هنگام صرف صبحانه اشتهای خوردنش راداشته باشید.
