تزریق خون مصنوعی به یک انسان

با نخستین انتقال موفق خون کشت شده در آزمایشگاه به انسان، خون مصنوعی یک گام دیگر به واقعیت نزدیک شد.
محققان در این پژوهش به استخراج سلولهای بنیادی خون ساز از مغز استخوان یک داوطلب پرداخته و آنها را در آزمایشگاه برای تبدیل به سلول های خونی با ترکیبی از عوامل رشد، پرورش دادند.
محققان برای ردیابی این سلول ها، آنها را نشانه دار کرده و 10 میلیارد از این سلول ها را که برابر با دو میلی لیتر خون است به بدن فرد داوطلب تزریق کردند.
پس از پنج روز حدود 94 تا 100 درصد از سلول های خونی به گردش در بدن ادامه داده و پس از 26 روز، 41 تا 63 درصد از آنها باقی ماندند که یک نرخ بقای عادی برای سلول های خونی طبیعی محسوب می شود.
این سلول ها مانند سلول خونی عادی رفتار کرده و بطور موثری اکسیژن را در بدن منتقل می کنند.
به گفته محققان، این نتایج، خبر بزرگی برای مراقبت های بهداشتی بین المللی و نویددهنده یک منبع خون نامتناهی در دسترس است.
جهان با وجود افزایش اهداکنندگان خون به شدت به منابع خونی احتیاج دارد که این نیاز در بخش هایی از جهان با نرخ های بالای عفونت اچ آی وی که از اهداکنندگان سالم کمی برخوردارند، بسیار بیشتر است.
تلاش های دیگر برای ساخت خون مصنوعی به جای پرورش خون طبیعی با ابزار مصنوعی، بر تولید یک جایگزین خون مصنوعی متمرکز است .
جایگزین های خون مصنوعی می توانند راه حل مناسبی برای انتقال خون پس از بلایای طبیعی خصوصا در مناطق دورافتاده باشند. جایگزین های مصنوعی برخلاف خون تازه و سلول ساز طبیعی به سردسازی نیاز ندارد.
