سوسریها (Cockroaches)

سوسریها در بسیاری از کشورهای جهان یافت می*شوند و به زیر رده بالداران از رده حشرات تعلق دارند. سوسریها ترجیحا در جاهای گرم زندگی می*کنند. این حشرات از مواد نشاسته*ای و قندی تغذیه می*کنند. سوسریها ممکن است آفت دائم محلهای نگهداری حیوانات باشند. این حشرات انگل بشمار نمی*روند ولی به سبب ویژگیهای خود قادر به انتقال بیماریها می*باشند. این حشرات قادر به انتقال قارچها و تک یاخته*های مختلف هستند. از آنجایی که سوسریها به سرعت تکثیر یاخته و آلودگیهای جدید ایجاد می*کنند. لذا کنترل آنها مشکل است. موثرترین روش کنترل استفاده از حشره کشها است.

شپشها (Lices)

این بند پایان به زیر رده بالداران از رده حشرات تعلق دارند. شپشها میزبانهای متعددی دارند از جمله پرندگان و پستانداران از جمله انسان. عمده اثرات شپشها روی میزبانان آلوده ، تحریکی است که این حشرات ایجاد می*کنند. شپشها بر روی پوست باعث ایجاد زخم و عفونت می*شوند. و بیماری را از یک فرد به فرد دیگران منتقل می*کنند. تعداد حشره کشهای موجود در حال افزایش است. عمده این مواد مصنوعی هستند. در مورد شپشهای انسان هگزاکلرو سیکلوهگزان (یک درصد) ممکن است به صورت موضعی استفاده شوند. مقاومت شپشهای انسان به حشره کشهای هیدروکربنی کلردار از نقاط مختلف جهان گزارش شده است.

ساسها

این بند پایان به زیر رده بالداران از رده حشرات تعلق دارند. تنها تعداد اندکی از گونه*های موجود در این راسته به دلیل خونخواری از انسان در پزشکی اهمیت دارند. بعضی از گونه*ها میزبان تریپانوزوم کروزی هستند. در آمریکای جنوبی این تک یاخته*ها عامل ایجاد بیماری تریپانوزومیازیس می*باشد. سازمان جهانی بهداشت استفاده از امولسیون یا محلول 5 درصد د.د.ت و استفاده از اسید هیدروکلریک را برای مقابله با این حشرات توصیه می*کند.

کنه*ها

کنه*ها به رده عنکبوتیان تعلق دارند. بعضی از کنه*هایی که خون می*مکند، چرخه کامل زندگی خود را روی بدن یک میزبان می*گذرانند و فقط در هنگام پوست اندازی موقتا ارتباط خود را با میزبان قطع می*کنند. کنه*های مختلف ناقل عوامل بیماریزای هستند که پستانداران و بویژه انسان را آلوده می*کنند. مثلا این بند پایان ناقل منحصر به فرد انگلهای ریکتسیایی ویروس مانند هستند که بروز نوعی بیماری خاص به نام تب خالدار کوههای راکی را در افراد باعث می*شوند.

عنکبوت های سمی

عنکبوت باغی diadematus Araneus و عنکوبت باغی جنس Tegenaria از عنکبوتهایی هستند که انسان را می*گزند، اما گزش آنها پیامدی ندارد. عنکبوتهای ماده از جنس Latrodectus به نام بیوه شهرت دارند. و به نسبت وزن خود از سمی*ترین جانوران هستند. احتمال مرگ در اثر نیش یک عنکبوت بیوه در حدود احتمال مرگ در اثر برق گرفتگی توسط رعد و برق است. وقتی که گزش اتفاق می*افتد تاثیر آن چه در جانور و چه در انسان جدی است و در عرض چند دقیقه درد در اطراف زخم پیشرفت می*کند و تا 30 دقیقه به حداکثر خود می*رسد. از دیگر عنکبوتهای سمی می*توان به گونه*های Phoneutria و Loxosceles اشاره کرد.

پشه

پشه به رده حشرات تعلق دارد. پلاسمودیوم انگلی است که پشه ناقل آن ، میزبان محسوب می*شود. پلاسمودیوم می*تواند به طریق جنسی فقط در روده پشه آنوفل تولید مثل نماید. پلاسمودیوم از راه بزاق پشه به بدن انسان منتقل می*شود. بزاق پشه نقش ماده ضد انعقاد را برای جاری شدن خون به عهده دارد. از بیماریهایی که که به این ترتیب منتقل می*شود می*توان به بیماری مالاریا اشاره کرد.
