ايران و آمريکا تلاش مشترک براي نجات يوز ايراني

زمانی بخش های بزرگی از غرب آسیا، آسیای میانه و شبه قاره هند جولانگاه یوزپلنگ آسیایی یا همان یوز ایرانی بود.

یوزپلنگ ها در آن دوران همه جا دیده می شدند؛ در طبیعت، در دربار شاهان، در شکارگاه ها و در تابلوهای مینیاتور.

اگر امروزه کسی بخواهد یوز آسیایی را ببیند، باید به مناطق صعب العبور کویری در استان های یزد و سمنان ایران سفر کند تا شاید بتواند ردپای این گربه سان زیبا را روی برف های زمستانی مشاهده کند.

شکار بی رویه یوز ایرانی، کشتار جانوران تشکیل دهنده زنجیره غذایی یوزها و تخریب زیستگاه آنها از جمله عوامل انسانی و طبیعی بوده که در کاهش جمعیت این جانور نقش داشته و آن را معرض انقراض قرار داده است.

خوشبینانه ترین برآورد ها تعداد یوزهای ایرانی را در طبیعت بین ۶۰ تا ۱۰۰ قلاده تخمین می زند. این در حالی است که علاوه بر یوزپلنگ، تنها گربه سان بزرگ باقی مانده در ایران، پلنگ ایرانی است و نسل شیر آسیایی و ببر در این کشور سال هاست منقرض شده است.

در سال های اخیر تلاش هایی برای حفظ نسل یوزپلنگ آسیایی در ایران صورت گرفته است.

تلاش مشترک
سازمان حفاظت از محیط زیست ایران در سال ۲۰۰۱ با امضای قراردادی با برنامه عمران سازمان ملل متحد طرحی را برای حفاظت از یوزپلنگ آسیایی به اجرا گذاشت.

چندین سازمان غیردولتی خارجی مانند موسسه های آمریکایی انجمن حفاظت از حیات وحش و پنترا و همچنین انجمن جانورشناسی لندن با این طرح همکاری علمی و فنی دارند.

همکاری موسسه های آمریکایی با دولت ایران برای اجرای یک طرح علمی و زیست محیطی در حالی انجام می شود که ایالات متحده نهایت تلاش خود را برای انزوای ایران و جلوگیری از انتقال فناوری های جدید به این کشور به کار بسته است.
با توجه به تحریم های ایالت متحده علیه جمهوری اسلامی، این دو موسسه آمریکایی برای کار در ایران و انتقال تجهیزات به این کشور مجوز ویژه دریافت کرده اند.

به گفته مدیر یکی از این موسسه های آمریکایی، دولت های ایران و ایالات متحده متوجه شده اند که خطر انقراض یوزهای آسیایی جدی تر از اختلافات آنهاست.

لوک هانتر، مدیر اجرایی موسسه پانترا می گوید: " فکر می کنم طرح نجات یوزهای ایرانی نمونه بسیاری خوبی از درک دو دولت در این مورد باشد که نگذارند اختلاف های سیاسی مانع از اجرای طرح های علمی شود. آنها به این نتیجه رسیده اند که نیاز به اجرای این طرح، بزرگتر از اختلافات آنهاست."

ایران و ایالات متحده از سال ۱۹۷۹ فاقد روابط سیاسی بوده اند و در سال های اخیر تنش دو کشور بر سر برنامه اتمی جمهوری اسلامی و اتهام های ایالات متحده به این کشور درباره دخالت در ناآرامی های عراق به شدت افزایش یافته است.

به رغم افزایش تنش بین دو کشور، تلاش هایی برای افزایش تبادل های علمی و فرهنگی بین ایران و آمریکا در جریان است و مبادله تیم های ورزشی از جمله این تلاش ها بوده است.

دکتر هانتر که خود شهروند استرالیا است می گوید در صورتی که اختلافات سیاسی مانع از همکاری ایران و آمریکا برای نجات یوز آسیایی شود، این جانور را برای همیشه از دست خواهیم داد.

آموزش ساکنان بومی

لوک هانتر همکاری خود با طرح حفاظت یوزپلنگ آسیایی را از سال ۲۰۰۴ آغاز کرده است.

دکتر هانتر درباره تلاش های صورت گرفته می گوید: " بعضی از تهدیدهایی که یوز ایرانی با آن مواجه است، همان هایی است که ما سعی در برطرف کردنشان داریم. این تهدید ها عبارتند از خطر شکار شدن، شکار بی رویه جانوران تشکیل دهنده خوراک یوزپلنگ ها و نابودی زیستگاه ها."

به گفته آقای هانتر فعالیت های سازمان حفاظت از محیط زیست ایران برای آموزش ساکنان روستاهای نزدیک به زیستگاه های یوز ایرانی در کمک به بقای این جانور نقش مهمی داشته است.

وی گفته است که " دولت ایران آموزش مردم محلی را به خوبی انجام داده است. شما در قهوه خانه ها و خیابان های شهرها و روستاهای دور افتاده اطراف منطقه حفاظت شده کوه بافق پوسترها و اطلاعیه های آموزشی بی شماری را می بینیند."
یکی از زیستگاه های یوز ایرانی، منطقه حفاظت شده کوه بافق در استان یزد است. دکتر هانتر تجهیز محیط بانان و آموزش آنها را هم از نیازهای ضروری برای حفظ نسل یوز ایرانی می داند.

تجهیز محققان به آخرین فناوری تحقیقاتی هم از جمله فعالیت های موسسه های آمریکایی در طرح حفاظت از یوزپلنگ آسیایی بوده است.

به گفته دکتر هانتر، به رغم ممنوعیت انتقال فناوری های ردیابی به ایران، این موسسه ها توانسته اند با کسب مجوز ویژه دولت ایالات متحده، نخستین بار وسایل پیشرفته ردیابی رادیویی را در این کشور به کار گیرند.

استفاده از این فناوری از سال ۲۰۰۷ آغاز شده است.

لوک هانتر می گوید: "این نخستین بار است که این علم و تجهیزات پیشرفته ردیابی رادیویی در ایران مورد استفاده قرار می گیرد. ما یوزپلنگ ها را به دام می اندازیم، بی هوش می کنیم و قلاده های رادیویی را به دور گردن آنها نصب می کنیم. به این وسیله اطلاعات بسیار مهمی را از نحوه زندگی یوز ایرانی و زیستگاه آن به دست می آوریم که به ما در نجات این گربه سان کمک می کند."

به گفته دکتر هانتر، تاکنون بر روی دو یوز ایرانی و دو پلنگ ایرانی قلاده گذاری شده است.

او علت تعداد کم جانوران مورد ردیابی را دشواری در به دام انداختن آنها به خاطر جمعیت کم و پراکندگی در منطقه ای وسیع عنوان می کند.

آقای هانتر در عین حال از نتیجه تلاش های به عمل آمده ابراز رضایت می کند و می گوید امیدوار است، اطلاعات به دست آمده از ردیابی رادیویی بتواند به جلوگیری از انقراض یوز ایرانی کمک کند.

او می گوید ایرانی ها باید به داشتن این گنجینه ملی افتخار کنند.

دکتر هانتر می افزاید "من فکر می کنم ایرانی ها باید واقعا افتخار کنند. ایرانی ها می توانند به سایر ملل فخر بفروشند که تنها ملتی هستند که توانسته اند مانع از انقراض یوزهای آسیایی شوند."
