پرنده*هاي شهري قوي تر از پرنده*هاي روستايي هستند

پژوهشگران در جديدترين تحقيقات خود نشان دادند پرنده*هاي شهري نسبت به پرنده*هاي روستايي، قوي*تر هستند و بهتر مي*توانند خود را با شرايط وفق دهند.

به گزارش ايرنا و به نقل از سايت خبرگزاري چيني شين هوا، "جان وينگفيلد" از محققان دانشگاه واشنگتن گفت، زندگي در زيستگاه*هاي شهري براي پرندگان معمولا دشوارتر از زيستگاههاي روستايي است كه بطور تاريخي در آنها سكونت داشته*اند.

به گفته وي، زيستگاه*هاي شهري جاي راحتي براي زندگي پرندگان نيست و از اين رو پرنده*ها مجبورند سازوكارهايي داشته باشند كه از عهده شرايط سخت زندگي در شهرها برآيند.

محققان براي كشف اينكه كدام نوع از پرندگان در محيطهاي شهري دوام آورده و رشد مي*كنند با ارسال پرسشنامه*هايي به پرنده*شناسان، زيست شناسان و پرنده شناسان آماتور در سراسر جهان، از آنها خواستند تا نام ‪۱۰‬پرنده بومي بسيار معمولي كه در شهرهايشان يافت مي*شود را ذكر كنند.

اين دانشمندان، نام ‪۲۱۷‬گونه پرنده شهري را از ‪۷۳‬شهر بزرگ و ‪۲۴۷‬ گونه روستايي دريافت كردند.

پرنده*هاي روستايي آنهايي هستند كه در مناطقي كه انسان حضور دارد مانند شهرها، زندگي نمي*كنند و آنهايي كه توزيع طبيعي*شان با مناطقي كه دستكم يك شهر بزرگ درآنجا وجود دارد همپوشاني دارد كه اين امر حاكي از آن است كه زماني پيش از آنكه انسان به اين مناطق بيايد در آنجا زندگي مي*كرده*اند.

محققان نشان دادند در سراسر جهان پرنده*هاي شهري نسبت به پرنده*هايي كه فقط در مناطق روستايي زندگي مي*كنند، مي*توانند در محدوده وسيعتري از محيط زيست حضور داشته باشند.

پرنده*هاي شهري ‪۱۶۰۰‬پا بيش از پرنده*هاي روستايي مي*توانند اوج بگيرند و توزيع آنها نيز حدود ‪۱۰‬درجه عرض جغرافيايي و يا ‪۷۰۰‬مايل بيشتر از پرنده*هاي روستايي است.

اگرچه هنوز مشخص نشده است كه چه چيزي اين قابليت را به پرنده*هاي شهري داده، اما تحقيقات پيشين نشان داده بود كه پرندگان شيوه*هايي يافته*اند كه مي*توانند با استفاده از آنها ميزان استرس خود را پايين نگه دارند و حتي آوازهاي خود را به*گونه*اي تغيير دهند كه بتوانند در غوغا و سر و صداي شهري، صداي همنوعان خود را بشنوند.

يافته*هاي تحقيقات جديد در نشريه مقالات زيست شناسي منتشر شده است.

از نتايج بدست آمده از اين تحقيق مي*توان براي تلاش*هاي دقيق*تر حفاظت از محيط زيست با كمك به شناسايي گونه*هايي كه كمترين توانايي براي مواجهه با دنياي در حال تغيير دارند، استفاده كرد.

"وينگ فيلد" افزود در مواجهه با تغيير جهاني اقليم و مزاحمت و اختلالات بشر مانند شهري*سازي و جنگل زدايي، ممكن است بتوانيم گونه*هايي را شناسايي كنيم كه مي*توانند با چنين تغييراتي كنار بيايند. سپس ممكن است بتوانيم گونه*هايي را نيز شناسايي كنيم كه نمي*توانند از عهده رو به رو شدن با اين تغييرات برآيند و يا حتي نسل آنها در مواجهه با چنين اختلالات فزاينده*اي منقرض خواهد شد.
