فلج اطفال POLIO MYELITIS
تعریف فلج اطفال :

یک عفونت ویروسی است که اغلب اوقات با یک فلج حاد ناگهانی ،با دامنه متغیر از عفونت تا فلج وحتی مرگ است.این بیماری در کمتر از یک درصد موارد عفونت اتفاق می افتد وبیش از 90درصد موارد عفونت بدون نشانه بوده ویا تب غیر مشخصی دارد. عمدتا در کودکان دیده میشود

عامل بیماریزا:

ویروس پولیواز جنس آنتروویروسها که در سه تیپ(1،2،3) می باشد.

اپیدمیولوژی :

پیش از برنامه گسترش ایمنسازی در ساسر جهان اتفاق می افتاد،که با پیشرفت برنامه EPI وآغاز برنامه ریشه کنی پولیو در حال حاضر به کمتر از 5کشور پولیو آندمیک محدود شده است.(نیجریه،هندوستان،پاکست ان،نیجر،افغانستان) ودر 11کشوری که قبلاً عاری از پولیو بودند در سال 2005 موارد پولیو داشته اند که از کشورهای آندمیک سرایت ویا به لحاظ کاهش سطح ایمنی ومراقبت ضعیف اتفاق افتاده است. در جمهوری اسلامی ایران در طی چهار سال گذشته مورد پولیو گزارش نگردیده ،اما شدیداً در معرض خطر ورود وانتقال بیماری از مرزهای شرقی است.

مخزن:

تنها مخزن این ویروس انسان است ودر محیط غیر زنده در مدت کوتاهی از بین میرود.
