تفاوت پدران و مادران در تاثیر انتقال ژن به فرزندان

محققان علم ژنتیک طی بررسی جدید دریافتند که از میان هفت ژن مورد بررسی مرتبط با بیماری های مختلف 5 ژن زمانی که از پدر به ارث برسند بیماری زا و زمانی که از مادر به ارث برسند محافظ بدن فرزند خواهند بود.
به گزارش خبرگزاری مهر، گروهی از محققان در شرکت رمزگشایی ژنتیکی آیسلند دریافتند پنج نوع از جهشهای ژنتیکی مرتبط با بیماری تنها زمانی که از جانب یکی از والدین یعنی پدر به ارث برسد تاثیر بیماری زا بر روی بدن فرزند خواهد داشت. برای مثال ژن نوع یک، ژنی جدید که با بیماری دیابت در ارتباط است در صورتی که از مادر به ارث برسد از بدن کودک در برابر این بیماری محافظت می کند اما در صورتی که همان ژن از پدر به ارث رسیده باشد باعث افزایش خطر ابتلا به بیماری خواهد شد. محققان دریافتند ژنی که پس از به ارث رسیدن از پدر خطر سرطان سینه را به اندازه کمی افزایش می دهد زمانی که از مادر به ارث برسد هیچ تاثیری نداشته و یا می تواند تا اندازه ای از بروز بیماری در بدن فرزند جلوگیری کند. همچنین ژنی که با نوعی از سرطان پوست که پیشرفت آرامی دارد در ارتباط است، زمانی که از پدر به ارث برسد بسیار خطرناک تر از زمانی خواهد بود که از مادر به ارث برسد. محققان بیشتر از همه توسط ژن دیابت نوع دو تحت تاثیر قرار گرفتند به گفته آنها تغییرات تاثیر دیابت نوع دو نه تنها زیاد است بلکه غیر طبیعی نیز به شمار می رود. در صورتی که فردی ژن این بیماری را از پدر به ارث ببرد، میزان احتمال ابتلای فرزند به این بیماری نسبت به فرزندی که ژن های غیر دیابتی را به ارث برده است، بیش از 30 درصد افزایش پیدا خواهد کرد. در عین حال در صورتی که همین ژن از مادر به ارث برسد میزان احتمال ابتلا به بیماری بیش از 10 درصد کاهش پیدا خواهد کرد. برای انجام این مطالعات محققان ژن 38 هزار و 167 ساکن ایسلند را مورد بررسی قرار دادند. برخی از ژنهای مورد مطالعه که به بیماری های سرطان پروستات و انسداد شرایین در ارتباط بودند نشان داد به ارث رسیدن از مادر یا پدر تاثیر چندانی بر روی اثر گذاری ژنها در بروز بیماری ندارد. بر اساس گزارش تلگراف، این شرکت قصد دارد با استفاده از این اطلاعات به اهداف دارویی جدیدی برای بیماری های مختلف دست پیدا کنند تا پس از کسب مجوز آنها را در اختیار مصرف کنندگان قرار دهند.
