کپسول زیستی ایران که به فضا رفت و بازگشت حاوی موش، لاک*پشت،کرم* خاکی و سلول*های زنده مختلف بود.
اولین موجودات زنده از ایران در قالب کپسول زیست*محیطی و توسط کاوشگر 3 به فضا پرتاب شدند که در این کپسول موش، لاک*پشت، کرم* خاکی و سلول*های مختلف بودند.
هم اکنون این کپسول به زمین بازگشته و مطالعات روی این موجودات زنده آغاز شده است که نتایج این تحقیقات در آینده اعلام خواهد شد.
کاوشگر 3 از زیر سامانه*های سازه، محفظه زیستی تغذیه و ارسال داده**های تله متری، تصویربرداری و ارسال همزمان رایانه پرواز، سنجش محیطی تشکیل شده است.
تله متری فعالیت*ها و عملکرد کاوشگر در فرایند پرتاب و ارسال تصاویر همزمان به ایستگاه زمینی متحرک،* کنترل رایانه پرواز در این فرایند،*کنترل عملیات فرامین و جدایش،* نمایش کپسول زیستی و موجودات زنده درون آن به صورت بهنگام، *دستیابی به مجموعه امکانات آزمایشگاهی برای داده*برداری از فضای خارج از جو از دیگر دستاوردهای پرتاب کاوشگر 3 است.
این اقدام به منظور بررسی وضعیت موجودات زنده در فضا با همکاری وزارت دفاع و وزارت علوم و پژوهشگاه هوا فضا و در ادامه پرتاب کاوشگرهای یک و دو انجام شده است.
