مسوول کلینیک دام*های کوچک در اصفهان گفت: طبق تحقیقی در اصفهان بر روی 90 نفر که 45 نفر آن*ها گربه خانگی نگهداری می*کردند و 45 نفر دیگر هیچ ارتباطی با گربه نداشته*اند، به این نتیجه رسیدیم که 45 نفر دوم که ارتباطی با گربه ندارند، به نوعی بیماری انگلی که گربه در طول 15 سال زندگی خود 3 روز آن را دفع می*کند، مبتلا هستند.
سام ترکان اظهار داشت: این بیماری انگلی از طریق گوشت، سبزی و... نیز قابل انتقال به افراد است.
وی افزود: گربه تمیزترین حیوان خانگی است، خانواده*های ساکن در مناطق کویری مانند اصفهان به نگهداری این حیوان بیشتر از دیگر حیوانات علاقه*مند هستند.
مسوول کلینیک دام*های کوچک در اصفهان تصریح کرد: نگهداری حیوانات در منازل نیازمند شرایط خاصی از جمله شرایط بهداشتی، ارتباط با دامپزشک، صرف وقت برای تربیت حیوان و... است.
ترکان بیان داشت: نگهداری حیوان در منازل می*تواند موجب رافت قلب در افراد شده و حس مسوولیت را در فرزندان تقویت کند.
مسوول کلینیک دام*های کوچک در اصفهان افزود: در حال حاضر بین 3 تا 4 هزار حیوان خانگی در 17 کلینیک اصفهان پرونده دارند و نام آن*ها در این کلینیک*ها ثبت شده است که به نظر من بیشتر این حیوانات سگ و سپس پرنده*های زینتی هستند.
وی گفت: حیوانات بیماری*های خاصی دارند که برای پیشگیری از آن*ها باید واکسیناسیون شوند و لازم است که هر 6 ماه یک بار آن*ها را به نزد دامپزشک برد.

خیر بیماری به نام توکسوپلاسما در گربه هایی که دچار این بیماری هستند می تواند باعث سقط در خانم ها شود که با رعایت بهداشت و انجام اقدامات درمانی در گربه توسط دامپزشک این موضوع هم برطرف می شود.
